They forgot about the old people with arthritis who now can not open their medications. Soon we will have to get a doctor's note to buy any edibles. Sorry, see all the old people. We lived through metal slides which were as hot as the sun and took off a layer or two of skin on the way down, We "walked" the backseat now kids are locked in as if they were going to the moon. Result? Kids are in the back facing back and parents forget they are there, the point on the swing sets was to get the legs behind you to lift out of the ground. bicycle helmets? Are you kidding. I remember my friend who was ahead of me hitting a light post, the bike road right over and landed behind her, A guy witnessed it, came over, we dusted her off and away we went. What else would "Charged" mean?? 🤔
@cmiller4155 ай бұрын
What did she think the “Charge” in Charge Lemonade? College students aren’t always smart when it comes to taking risks and I would bet that she knew exactly what was in it and might have even had it before, thinking “…it could never happen to me.” Her roommate knew what was in it, how did Sarah not.

I'm caffeine sensitive and the word 'charged' on the name of the drink alone should be a warning for me to check out what it meant before I drink it. Sorry for your loss though.

Did she not understand the definition of charged.

I can sympathize with the parents I know what it's like to lose an adult child. 🥺🙂↕️

What did she think it was “charged” with, and why was she drinking a large size?

That sucks their kid is gone. I'm sorry for that. Panera has no responsibility. Stop ridiculous lawsuits. She was an adult and should've been more responsible with what she ingested. Sad story.

Is the autopsy listing this energy drink as the cause of death? What the parents feel as the cause may be different than the real cause. What was the amount caffeine in her blood during autopsy? How do we KNOW she drank the energy lemonade beside the goofy roommate's statement? The newscasts states she's been 'recently purchasing' them so after the first one she'd realize the buzz she would have gotten from the drink so why did she choose to continue with them? I'm not buying this.

Huge tragedy. HUGE! However, she could/should have asked what was in it. prior to drinking it. Panera should have also reported that it contained caffeine for sure.

I’m so sorry, but really any one with severe allergies or conditions should just not risk eating or drinking out. It’s sad but true.

Some of you are commenting that the girls should have known better than to have the drink. And because of that the family shouldn’t be awarded anything in a lawsuit. But after learning about how much caffeine is in the drink, I question whether anyone should be having it for health reasons. There are a number of medical conditions that could be exacerbated by this amount of caffeine. A friend could purchase this and bring it to you and say “hey I got you a lemonade.” And then you drink it and you get sick or die because your friend didn’t read the label. For the sake of other people who might get sick or die from this drink, I hope they remove it from the selection.

Having charged in the name of the drink is a big clue!! She should know better, used her college brain. It's always the fault of others, people should take personal responsibility for their actions. Restaurants, fast food companies don't know your medical conditions!! No case here!

That’s terrible, who’d think that a lemonade would be drugged like that. Such a sweet, wonderful girl, that shouldn’t have happened. RIP.

It was irresponsible for Panera to offer this product especially without any warning. I hope they sue the pants off of them.
@worldtraveler30446 ай бұрын
Absolutely infuriating that these products are even sold for human consumption. Panera has their drinks for open service in the dining room, any child could have access. FDA needs to get on all these energy drinks!

My condolences for your loss. That being said, your daughter knew better than to drink caffeine and should have asked. The onus is on her. You won't win. People with peanut allergies will always say they have a peanut allergy and ask if there is any possibility of cross contamination. She should have asked and should have been drinking caffeine AT ALL.

I always ask before I drink anything these days and tell them upfront I am caffeine intolerant multiple times until they get upset at me to make for sure for sure because fast food workers just don’t have the capacity to care about details. I am so sorry to this family. I also think that the energy drink craze in this nation needs to STOP! Energy drinks should be all natural and should come with a warning label if they don’t.

It’s sad their daughter died, but this lawsuit is nonsense. So much nonsense.

Why didn’t she ask questions, when you know you have a medical condition
