This is criminal in my opinion because the girls went to a gathering,yes but as the parents pointed out they were not warned of the penalty that would be imposed by the university if they did not comply! To basically fine the students in the amount of their tuition and penalize them with abruptly taking their classes away is just the worse kind of penalty! Also removal without notice from their housing when the parent is 500 miles away if not criminal it should be! These administrators went way beyond the scope of their authority! These people did not assault someone else and did not do a criminal activity! These students were treated worse than if they had assaulted another student! The girls in the picture are together by choice celebrating an event that wasn’t even possible last year because of the pandemic and they weren’t in the pictures being shown to be hurting or endangering someone else! If the event could take place without the police rolling in or the National guard to break it up then the students were exercising their right to attend as young adults! They were in the company of other people who chose to attend and the lack of a mask doesn’t mean they endangered anyone or did anything to warrant this insane approach to the matter! I hope they do sue and I hope they win not only their money back but also win damages to their career and their name because people and companies may use this to not hire them at some point ! Other college admissions may use this to not admit them to their campuses and never ever admit this is why! I hope they clean that university’s clock!! I am so upset to just read this and there is no way they can ever make up the time lost! God bless the students and May their lives be much easier and less complicated in the future!
