So I explained to her that some people look down on others and treat them differently just because of the color of their skin. She didn’t understand what that meant. Then I gave her an example. Her best friend’s parents are a white man and a woman from India and the friend has dark skin. Then she understood. Until then she hadn’t even noticed that there was a difference between her and her friend. So thanks to out degenerate society, I had to take this veil of innocence from my daughter at such a young age. Your first statement in your comment was false. What you are exposed to as a child has great effect on how you think and who you become later in life. There are multiple psychologic studies/theories on this topic. I encourage you to look up and digest Erickson’s Stages of Development. Ex., A child doesn’t start reading before they start talking, so the only way they can do this that would make sense is by observing others and mimicking what they hear. Reading helps them to expand and better their vocabulary; however, it is not necessary to learn a behavior, skill (like speaking) or way of thinking. I do however agree with your second statement. Both of the books read were made in such poor taste that I feel it would be a disservice to our youth to allow material like that in their curriculum.

It would seem those books are doing the exact opposite than what's written in those books. If racism is to be eliminated, then constantly berating one race over others isn't the way for it to end. There's nothing wrong with knowing racism exists with some people, but that's an individual problem and not a systemic problem. What's even more interesting with those books is their limited effort to perpetuate racism. Why stop at skin color? Why not hair or eye colors. Why not left or right-handed, given most people are right-handed and lefties have had to adjust to a right-handed world. How about long and short hair? How about tall and short statures? Thin and fat? Or just pick your own body part. Books of those types have no redeeming value and would serve better helping to roast marshmallows.
