This cat is one in a million. I love cats but most cats I have known are not affectionate like this one. Yet cat people always try to bring down dogs who are truly affectionate by labelling them as "clingy or needy". Cat people complain about cats being misunderstood, but they actively misunderstand dogs who are so affectionate and so loyal. I love both dogs and cats regardless, but cat people dont love dogs

@@GodisMyNo1 that’s wrong. A lot of cat people turn out to be some of the biggest animal lovers and they almost always love dogs too. But most of the time, people who are dog people don’t like cats. Never have I met a dog person who likes cats but I have seen so many cat people who like and take care of dogs. Most of the stigma also comes from dog lovers calling cats bitchy and not affectionate. There is nothing wrong with not being as affectionate as much as there is nothing wrong with being clingy or needy. You yourself seem to think those terms are hurtful for the dog

@@GodisMyNo1 actually its not true what you wrote...at all. I have cats, but I always loved dogs...still do. And, if you wouldn't be so openly dismissive of "cats people" you would see that people that have cats love a lot of other animals too. And if you didn't see cats like Kelvin, you didn't look hard enough. Cats are capable of emphaty, but are more selective - if they feel your reserve or dislike, be sure they would not go near you ...only maybe the desperate ones that are hungry, ill or just feeling lonely. I didn't know, before I took home stray cats that they can be social beings, but they are. It all depends how you treat them, thats all. I don't have dogs, but I know people that have and to me they are like children, so totally dependent affectively from their human person. So sad for them when that person its not the right one, though.

If I cry, my cat jumps up on my lap and wipes my tears with his paws. Then he kneads my chest and falls asleep on my belly facing me. Cats are creatures of superior intellect and are more than capable of compassion. Trust me, he knows what's he's doing.

Whenever I would cry my cat would wipe my tears with her paw too. Then she would lay on top of me and cuddle me and do biscuits. She was always so comforting to me when I needed her. She passed in 2017 and I will never get over her. Today is her birthday she would’ve been 18 years old. 🙏🏼♥️😿

He was so sweet and loving and I often look at his empty food bowl and collar and just cry. My current cat, Cosmo is pretty depressed now too. You and I will both get over this Jackie ❤ Those memories you have of her keep her alive!

It's always better to have 2 pets and impreferably 2 of each species. this cat-and-dog seemed to get along just fine and they keep each other company when the humans are gone. Animals get lonely. They need another animal companion. This is so sweet. So glad you thought to get another animal to help your dog.

When one of my cats was suffering from kidney failure he would sleep by the heat register on a blanket because he was always cold - the younger cat seemed to know he was sick and would cuddle up next to him to keep him warm! She never slept with him before he was sick either - so endearing!

My mother would always babysit my cat when I would go on vacation which was several times a year. One day she asked me if she could keep my cat! She told me he comforted her every day and he soothed her soul. Now mind you my mom had given me this cat as a kitten to soothe me when I was going thru a very challenging and painful time in my life. Mr Charlie who has since passed after 18yrs knew what we both needed.

I've known a lot of cats as affectionate and sweet as this one, including one of my own who lived with me for 17 years and was the most cuddly and loving pet you could ever wish for. So to all the people saying this cat is "not a normal cat" or "one in a million" because cats usually are "aggressive" or "not affectionate": you obviously have no clue how cats really are, which is totally fine, but why would you spread such bs and clearly untrue statements then and sell them as facts? A lot of people who think all cats are aggressive or unaffectionate don't realize their own behaviour is unpleasant for cats. Cats get overwhelmed easily, and when they're overwhelmed they'll generally leave or lash out. If you approach them with the kind of exuberance that dogs tend to love, they'll often freak out.

I got tears watching this because this reminds me of my good boi. His name is Ratata (it’s from the comic Lucky Luke and his dog name is Ratata) and he would always protect me, love me and he even saved my life three times from Death when I was a baby. Sadly he passed away a few years ago, when he passed away i couldn’t stop crying in school. When I was a kid we had a cat that would always sleep next to me through the night. When I got sick he would not leave my side. He would only go out to dig and bury and then be right back. He would only snack throughout the day so that he wasn't away from me for too long. Pets can definitely tell when something isn't right and some will try to comfort you.

They do, they also definitely know the difference between good and evil, even if some people deny it. They know when they have done something "bad". As a kid I would constantly play with my cat, and since I was a child (7-8), I wasn't always gentle. Also I found funny seing my cat trying to bite me, so I kept pushing my luck. But even after being me who was pissing off my cat, whenever she hurt me and she saw that he had indeed do so, she would stop being angry, meow and then start licking my wound as a way of saying sorry. Cats are way more loving animals than a lot of people think if you treat them like they deserve.

True story: A hen flew the coop a few doors down and landed in my relatively wild back yard about a year ago. It keeps to itself and I usually only see it when I throw out a few scrap on the way out in the morning. There has also been a cat hanging around for awhile. Not sure if it's a stray but I do see the occasional bunch of pigeon feathers scattered around. I've been a little concerned for the hen but still greeted the cat politely and threw it some food now and then, though my fears were eased when I came home a few days ago to catch them hanging our together. It really isn't safe for a lone hen without a pen. I have no idea where it sleeps and still haven't found it eggs, but I think the cat is actually protecting it. BTW, The magpies get fed too, even when they get greedy and chase away the chook. It's like a typical family. lol.

This is why any pet needs a companion. It's wrong to have only one animal and leave it alone for long stretches of time especially in apartments where they don't have much stimulation.

not always, there are some animals that prefer being the Only pet in the house. my cat does not want anything else in the house. we cat sit on occasion for my in laws when they go away for a couple weeks here and there. their male cat is the sweetest little old man and my cat is so mean to him. I have to separate the house into kitty kingdoms.

I have 2 dogs and my first doesn't like animals so he doesn't interact with her. She's now a senior and has stopped trying to give him attention.

I used to get very bad migraines, and one time after a very bad headache day at work I was on my bed in a fetal position softly moaning from the pain I was feeling. And my cat, Abby, came over from her usual spot on top of some cardboard boxes near the bed. And she started licking my face. She knew I was in pain, and she was doing all she could to make me feel better. I was amazed. Until that day, I hadn’t known that a cat would do such a thing.
