yep i heard this kind of story before where op's younger sister was treated like a spoiled brat and the op's parents didn't care what he wanted in life, and all his anger was vented in front of all his extended family, and they scolded the parents for treating the daughter as some princess and when they were forced to treat op better, the daughter made a big fuss over it, even to a car op just got, and she was like 10 when she was having a tantrum over a licensed vehicle that she can't drive in yet, so yeah the parents in this one are sure gonna mess up big time with their autistic daughter, and the op in this story will not help with it at all when they move out, and they better for their sanity.

@@CountLurchalot Yeah, you see when a sibling sees what behavior works to get their way because it worked on the other sibling, they tend to copy that behavior too. You see it with some toddlers showing babyish behavior out of the sudden when they have just gotten a baby brother or sister. Suddenly they stop talking and start crying for things instead, those kind of things, because they see the baby gets all of the attention now. It's up to the parents to manage that, and to make it clear to the other sibling that they're not forgotten, that they are still loved as well. I wouldn't blame OP for having a meltdown herself here. The parents in this post are ridiculous and never made the other girl feel loved.

agreed. having some kind of mental disorder is no reason to give a child special treatment. I myself have a mental disorder, ADHD, and I've never gotten special treatment and thus far have turned out just fine, hell, I didn't even know I had ADHD until I found the meds I took for it when I was younger (don't know when I stopped needing them, pretty sure I found them when I was 13 or so), noticed the prescription bottle had my name on it, and asked my mom about it out of curiosity. and my best friend is autistic, he too doesn't receive any kind of special treatment that I'm aware of, has so far turned out just fine, and is one of the smartest people I know.

Being autistic myself, I find the attitudes of OP's parents to be horrible. Its clear that they don't think of their oldest in high regard and a 16th birthday is a milestone in a teenager's life. One that she will never have again. Even if the parents do a party for her in the future, the damage is already done as the OP would be over parties since she doesn't expect much from her parents. And the way they are raising the younger sister is blanantly wrong cause that's going to blow up in their faces. They are not teaching her consequences or repercussions, they're teaching her that she can get away with anything. OP needs to leave the house and cut ties cause its clear that OP means nothing to the parents.

The parents did not buy the sneakers just because the sister would have a meltdown. That's an excuse. The mother took the money specifically to spend it on the sister, or why were they in the store with her in the first place? And why take the money with them? No, that's just a lazy excuse. To the OP of the title story, about the toxic parents stealing your money. In the event that you're watching this video and see this comment, I have advice for you. Save up for your 18th birthday. Buy yourself the BEST gift of all. An apartment. Liberation from those horrid parents of yours. Liberation from that princess spoiled B of a sister. If you have a relative that's nearby and trustworthy, start leaving your savings with them. Make sure it's all kept under lock and key. Story 1: when the other relatives and especially the grandparents hear what those two idiots did, they are gonna be pissed. I’m on the spectrum and my stepdad was the balancing force of my childhood. He didn’t have to deal with me. He stepped up and taught me how to handle myself and be a decent human. Story #6: I don't even know where to being with this one. First, I'll say my condolences to the OP and his daughter. I can't even imagine the major emotional rollercoaster that the OP must be on. The OP loses his wife after she had given birth. I do wonder if the wife ever had a chance to meet her daughter. No matter what happened, it was all around bad. Now the OP's daughter is 5 years old, and being raise by a grieving father/husband. The pain the OP has is enormous. What I don't understand is why is the family pushing so hard for the OP to start dating. Are they worried that the OP may no raise the daughter right because of the lack of a womanly presence in her life? The OP isn't interested in dating right now, and is this person choice. All he wants is to be allow the time to grieve, and that isn't a bad thing. Forcing someone into something that they aren't ready for is incredibly disrespectful. Also in the story I gathered that it was only the OP's family pushing this, and not the family his wife's. I believe that if the OP feels that their wishes are being respected then maybe it is time to leave. Beside I also think that it was incredible disrespectful for the OP's mother to tell his daughter to ask for a new mommy for her birthday. Let me tell you something, had anyone in my family ever tried to pull something like that, the shockwave that would ensued would have been felt in Japan since I live in the US. But back to my point, not one else in the OP's life is pushing this issue except the OP's family. I don't think the OP is a jerk for using salty language towards him mother for her comment to the daughter. And I don't think it was wrong for the OP to put the family on notice about leaving if they keep trying to set the OP up with dates. And if they do try it again politely tell the woman that you are interested and don't want to waste her time. And the OP and the daughter should just up and leave. No notice, no messages, no nothing. The OP's father should have several seats just like the rest of the OP's family. It's no ones business whether or not the start dating. I wish the OP and their daughter the best.

Problem. They'd have to be a co signer and they'd probably go behind your back and have the bank attendant have a back door into your account so they can steal your money regardless. What I'd do if this happens again and you have a bank account is to chargeback, tell the bank, and press charges for petty theft. It may sound extreme and it's risky because the parents could force you to be homeless if they find out. But I guess anything to get away from that selfish bratty kid. I myself am autistic and that doesn't give me an excuse so why does it give Mrs. Karen junior an excuse?

First story: These parents are the worse type of people to have autistic children. Sometimes the thing with autistic children is it can take time for us to learn basic rules I should know bc I’m also autistic and so is my older brother but his case is a little worst then mine. They can’t even use the excuse that they aren’t financially stable as well bc my mom is single with no dad present and still manage to treat me and my older brother equal and never pull these type of disgusting shit. They have absolutely no excuse for them acting the way they do and they are going to ruined that autistic child by spoiling her and thinking she can get whatever instead of setting your foot down.

I'm an autistic person and I can say that when I was told I couldn't have something as a kid sure I was angry, but I didn't throw a tantrum over something so minor. My mind worked like spinning a prize wheel; try again later. But to have SOMEONE STEAL (demonic roaring voice) YOUR MONEY AND SPEND IT ON SOMEONE ELSE AND THEN REFUSE ACCEPT THEIR THE JERKS FOR DOING.....!!! (Calm tone) that. That's not right. I get angry over the favoritism for the younger autistic kid over their older kid. However it will be fun for them to find out they won't be grandparents when OP get's married. With the first one, best response is to retaliate in kind. They want to dig through your room for cash, ignore complaints when you trash theirs for anything you want. As a person that works in an environment that has a zero tolerance policy on anything that has wireless communication or store data that hospital story is absolutely hilarious I would love to see them pull a 12 hour workday without touching their phone, apple watch, Bluetooth earbuds, or even some models of calculators (programmable ones like the Ti 84)

One of my friends brother said he was going to become an airport security. That way he could steal stuff without getting in trouble and it’s true. He still does that to the state he confiscate items that are like over thousands of dollars and sells him. It’s literally his side hustle, how do you think people who work there for like 30 years can afford to live they just go to the disposal then and sober. As an autistic person myself, I am in firm belief that you have the grounds to sue your parents. That is straight up robbery, and they should pay you back for what they stole from you, and I feel it’s worth more than a mere $120. Probably closer to $2-300.
