Parents' Surprise Message will Make You Cry | Big Rapids MI Wedding Toast

At a wedding we recently filmed, the bride's parents surprised the couple with a ASL performance of "My Wish." Cara, the bride, has been studying ASL since she was a young girl.
"One of my undergraduate degrees was in American Sign Language interpreting and sign language has been a passion of mine since my parents bought me a book of signs in Kindergarten. They used to try so hard to learn signs and quiz me throughout college so them learning an entire song is oh so special! It’s not an easy feat!" -Cara

This really touched my heart my childhood sweetheart and I just got married in September this year we were together twelve years I wished our parents could have been here he lost his Mother to cancer 3 years ago I was very close to his Mother and I watch her suffer a woman that always put everyone before herself and took care of her husband everyday till the day he passed when somedays she looked so tired.I only wished she could have been there to see us get married she always called me her daughter inlaw even though we weren't married yet I missed her so bad and this made me cry and think about her .

Such a wonderful, and added beauty, for their daughter's wedding day, and welcoming their new son-in-law into the family! I couldn't imagine what the parents would be doing, and then when the perfect match song began playing, and her parents started "signing" the words of the Rascal Flatts song, I was mesmerized by the parents keeping up with the song! So beautifully done, and I know they had to spend a lot of time to get the song just how they planned it. Mum and dad, you're amazing and your daughter will most definitely remember her wedding day surprise! ❤ I pray the happy couple have many love filled years to come!

What wonderful parents to take the time to learn this beautiful song in sign language. It may not be the best (I wouldn't know or be able to tell) but I give much respect to these parents who tried their best to make their daughters wedding meaningful and special for her.
