And technically if you want to take a psychologically take of you on this the fact that you have so many bullies these days stipulates you have a problem with basic self-esteem on today's children because there is so much bullying going on that means that the bully is probably the weakest out of all of them and probably needs the most help even though they seem to be the ones on top the ones who have everything went inside they are very insecure about who they are..

So... if I did that to that "person" I would be arrested for assault. If I did that to my own child I would be arrested for assault on a minor and have my kids taken away. The least that could happen to that awful person is to lose her livelihood, and never be allowed around children again, for their own safety.

Unfortunately this happens more than we can think. My son was put in empty rooms at school and allowed to go through his tantrums alone. I found out once his former teacher retired and ended up becoming my youngest son's therapist. After hearing that I took them to a school I could be involved in until they were able to talk. They are now 10 and 13 years old. They are homeschooled but plan to attend school next year. We have to fight for our children no matter the cost. Keep fighting until she is fired. Unfortunately I've heard the same about sexual abuse in the UK.. a local church community worker was also working in the nursery of my friends sons.. and she visited their home. When the mother found out the inappropriate way she was behaving with her children she reported her, but the police and local authority instead turned on her and threatened to take custody of her children unless she dropped her claims... sometimes these things are institutionalised and the roots of it are organised by the authorities you trust to protect..

Ours is nonverbal. He was neglected, abused and left alone. He can't walk or crawl. His life has been spent in his bed and wheelchair. So many times he was abused and NEGLECTED daily. He came home soaking wet daily and sometimes he had a poopy diaper. But he had a wet diaper one time when he got to school. He was dry when he left home. My son and daughter were reported to DHR and founded for neglect! Furious isn't the word for it. But when we reported anything the school defended the teachers.

It's shameful to abuse helpless people. These people in the positions of caregivers are not a good fit for the position. It takes a special person to do this job. Unfortunately you can't judge a book by its cover. However, when something like this happens, the person is not held accountable for their actions. They continue to wreak havoc and the powers that be does nothing. I say, clean house. Start from the top because that's the problem. Zero tolerance. These are human beings who often can not speak fir themselves and do not have an advocate to speak for them. Quicker justice would have been served if a cat or dog or any animal had been mistreated.

In fact she still is a teacher to this day doing the same thing to other students, she's also been nominated and received Teacher of the Year Awards. I know this young man can't speak for himself truly but I hope he gets the Justice he deserves it is very sad that he was injured because of a teacher not knowing how to handle someone with special needs teachers need to be trained to be able to cope in situations with special needs children or they don't need to be teachers at all.

I remember something similar to this when I worked in Special Education. A Para was reported by other witnesses school staff that she had grabbed and twisted a 5 year old autistic students wrist in impatient anger that he was screaming and refusing to follow her instruction. I knew this little student, and although he was a very high needs kiddo with a tendency to hit staff members and throw things at them, that is part of the job. You have to be a person who comprehends that special education is very demanding and sometimes physically dangerous work, and you need to know you are the adult who is there to protect them and guide them. Also, to never use physical punishment, that is abuse.

No parents should have to go through this. I have special needs grandson with Autism. All she shouldn't call for help if she didn't know what to do. The teacher needs psychiatric help. She need to get fired. That just hurts my heart when I look at this. The parents need to get a lawyer. The school been covering up they finally got caught. I'm praying for the family 🙏🏼❤️❤️🙏🏼❤️❤️

I have a beautiful almost 6 year old grandson who has high functioning autism and THIS is why he has never stepped foot into a public school since preschool when he was getting off the school bus with feces in his pants. Bathroom help was part of his ISP yet not provided because according to the teacher she "liked to encourage them to attend their own bathroom needs."It was part of his ISP and wasn't up to her to make that decision. He is home schooled and doing awesome! Public education needs a serious overhaul!

How incompetent, unempathetic, and disrespectful do you have to be in order for this school system to fire you? 🙄😡🤬

I did lose my teaching job for speaking up against a paraprofessional who hurt a disabled child. I went to administration and about my suspicion and said i was calling children's services. I was told i would lose my job if i did. She was the abuser and the safety of that student and others was more important. So I reported. The school fired me.

I'm not defending this teacher because she was clearly in the wrong but teachers really need to be provided with special training to have the skills to handle these kinds of situations to learn how to calm a child down without laying hands on them. This teacher definitely could have handled the situation better if she had the right training.

That woman did nothing wrong he was acting a fool then kicking the door that's how it happened to his toe him kicking throwing a fit

If you thought placing a special needs child in a dark room is ok, I don't even want to know how you discipline your kid. Oh I'm sorry you just said your not lazy and you do your job perfectly 🤭

It’s called protocol. That’s not protocol and their job isn’t to man handle kids or lock them in dark rooms. Use logic, not biased opinions

I have noticed parents with autistic kids do not discipline their kids or teach them any manners, using he or she has autism excuse. Those kids always suffer in some shape or form. Teaching an autistic child how to behave is not easy but it can be done, it requires a lot of time and patience. So sorry for this child.

I would be in jail, there would be no waiting for the teacher to be fired. We are our children's voices. We send them to school to feel safe and learn and we have to worry about this. That poor baby. I couldn't even imagine. I would be picking up that teacher and putting her in a dark room but she would be worried about me in that dark room. THIS TEACHER NEEDS TO BE FIRED

File a police report against the school official. You don't have to wait on the school because they are protecting her. Child endangerment

But if this was a parent doing this to a child, cps and police would’ve ve been called. I went through this and this is why decided to homeschool. A teacher let another student push my 4 year old of a slide and didn’t call em to let me know. I only found out because he told me when he was running towards me. But one time he fell when i carrying him. I had a whole team interrogating me and also said the school didn’t report the injury on his head. He had to be taken to the hospital for stitches. The school tried to blame it on me. Saying they had no idea what was going on and that he showed to school with the cut on his eye🤬🤬🤬

Absolutely ridiculous! She should have need fired on day one! There's enough evidence with video to put her in prison for life. This breaks heart for their child but also for the parents. We've been through this so much with my special needs grandson. He's now 20 but neglect and abuse occured regularly even on the special needs bus by the driver. It's heart breaking. I hope they get justice in there child's case.

It take certain individuals to work with special needs. She is not fit for this job. She should be prosecuted, lose her license and never work with children. The mother should also sue the school because they should vet their employees.
