I needed to see this in my feed today as I'm working on three big projects so it's nice to have a quick one! I've got lots of parfait and if I have any leftover, I make a flower in the corner.

Hi! When you recommended going up to a 7mm hook, was that for just the chain, then switch to the 6.5mm or for the entire project?

Thank you for this tutorial and your thorough explanations. I have a couple of questions regarding the ends of rows. Send every other row have 2 HDC at the end? Should the opposite end of each of these rows have one HDC?
@ExperimentsinCrafting4 жыл бұрын
One row will begin and end in (hdc, ch, hdc) and the other row will begin (hdc, hdc, ch) end in (ch, hdc, hdc). You will repeat these rows back and forth for the whole blanket putting a chain over every hdc, and a hdc in every chain from the row below. I hope this makes more sense. Thanks for the question and for watching!

It seems I only have a total of 5 colors in my cake! I am in the middle of the 3rd color ... what should I do re the border
@ExperimentsinCrafting4 жыл бұрын
Sorry I'm just now seeing this...You probably have excess of one color rather than being shorted total weight. You can do one of two things. You can see if you can figure out what color you have more of, cut out the extra (there will likely be a knot anyway) and use it for the border. Alternatively you can just stop the blanket when you have about 1/6 of the yarn left and then do the border. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

I'm so glad to hear that! I'm working on getting a baby blanket CAL together so that everyone can lean a bunch of new stitches! Thanks for watching!

I found when I worked with this yarn the fluffy bits would come off a lot is there anything you recommend to avoid that?
@ExperimentsinCrafting5 жыл бұрын
You can pick the little fuzzies bits out the yarn pretty easily, but I didn't have much problem with them just coming out on their own. I really only had that problem if I was pulling stitches out. If it's not from frogging, then I guess you could try loosening your tension a little? Sorry I can't be of more help there. Thanks for watching!

Do u have a written pattern for this baby blanket
@ExperimentsinCrafting5 жыл бұрын
I do not have a written pattern, sorry! For now all I have is the video tutorial. Maybe one day I'll have the time to write them down and publish them. Thanks for watching!

Is there a written pattern?
@ExperimentsinCrafting4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there is not. The general idea is that is the first and last stich of every row is a half-double crochet (hdc) and then if then next stitch you have to work in to is a hdc, chain over the top, and if the next stitch is a chain work a hdc around it. This does mean on some rows you have two hdc next to each other. If you read charts I can share a small chart I have handwritten if that would help? Thanks for watching!

That happen to me when I used the Frosty Blue yarn. Very annoying.

It's such a soft cozy yarn, and it's a great deal, but the problems with it are very annoying. So far Premier has been very grateful for the feedback, but I haven't heard if they have addressed the problems. Hopefully they will soon!

@@ExperimentsinCrafting I hope they do and try to fix it.

@@la1163 unfortunately it is no longer available. I am one that did not care that the colors were out of order. That is what makes each blanket uniquely different.

I really like this tutorial. I did find the first round of the border quite confusing and hard to follow. It would have been nice if the corners could have been laid out where it was easier to see, it seemed all bunched up. Maybe it was just me, I not a very experienced crocheter but I have never seen corners done this way, and found it very confusing.
@ExperimentsinCrafting5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry that it was confusing. Is there anything I can help clarify? That first round is a little tricky because each corner is slightly different from each other. Really the goal is to single crochet around evenly so that you can work the ruffle row. Typically extra stitches are worked in the corners to keep them square and prevent them for folding over. Please ask more questions or share pictures on Facebook or Instagram if I can help any! Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for this clear tutorial! I just got 3 of these at JoAnns on clearance, one to make a baby blanket (Sweet and Spicy), and 2 to make a larger throw for myself (Sprinkles). ❤️ I’d love to send you a picture on Instagram when I’m done (can’t post it because it’s a gift) if that’s okay!

Boy, I agree is not acceptable! That definetly runes the project😡 and if you try to fix it, you'll lose some yarn and have a knot to be prevented from showing!🐝🐝🍯🐝🍏🐝🌱🍅🍐🍋🐝

I was just glad that I could fix it. It wasn't thrilled though... If it wasn't such a good deal and felt so amazing it wouldn't have been worth the trouble. Thanks for watching!

Terrible video Can’t see the stitches up close as she goes along. If the yarn is so difficult to see then she should be closer up. And she has no enthusiasm or even sound happy about what she’s doing. Not bueno
