About REPO and Paris: My brother in law's friend, Joey went to college with Terrance (Grave Robber), and he actually did work on the film with Terrance as a favor since they're friends... Well apparently, the budget was running super slow, and they didn't know how they were going to fill in things like - costume, make-up, and other misc. items and extras. So Paris Hilton stepped in and funded them, as well as donated her own personal clothing line to the extras in order to get that luxury feel to it that they were looking for. She let them all keep the outfits at the end of it, and asked for nothing in return -- she just wanted to support the film. According to Joey, she is really smart, and insanely funny. She made fun of herself and her past, and was very supportive to the whole film, despite her only being in it for a little. After hearing this from Joey, I've completely changed my opinion about her. According to many many many theater people I ran into in 2010 who helped with the film, Paris Hilton is the epitome of awesome, kind, and humble. She literally had to use the dumb-chick thing in order for people to even give her a chance to show off her skills. She's just as successful as her parents in business and class. I had hated her my entire life until Joey and his friends blew my mind, and then I was like "OMG..She's a princess!! 9_9". (Also - I love REPO! You suuuuuck!! >:P (Just kidding! I know it's one of those cult classics, you love it or you don't!

About the town in house of wax, I think they actually say in the movie or perhaps I read it somewhere, that the town was actually abandoned when Bo returned to it and convinced Vincent to start kidnapping and turning people into wax…so everyone that’s been turned into a wax figure is people that were lured to the town by the third brother.

They had to use those "ugly" traits in order to have the girl "pretty" by the end, because if they used an actress who had traits you can't change (like bone structure, mild bow legs that you won't operate, crooked nose, size of eyes or ears etc) then they'd fail at their "transformation". Some people have skin diseases that make it almost impossible to take care of yourself. I've had the worst acne when I was a teenager and I took great care of my skin and was on a vegan diet, so it's not like you can always look good if you take care of yourself. Of course, it's always worse if you don't take care of yourself, but there are many people that take care of themself 10 times more than you, but still look like that. Also many threatments cost a lot of money, so for example I didn't treat my acne scars until I was 22, because then I had enough money, because I was lucky enough to get a well paid job.

When Paris first came out in public people assumed she was this ditzy blonde so she rode it all the way to the bank. Of course she leaned into it you'd be crazy not too. In my opinion it says more about her intellect than anything. Then the same people that that made these assumptions were the first to start judging her. I’m so glad Repo was covered here. I’ve seen it quite a few times, even in live musical form. I’ve also met the actors who played Luigi and Pavi, solid guys. Also I admit Repos fun but it ain’t a masterpiece, however the creator said they were going for the most outrageous musical they could think of, definitely think he achieved it !

House of Wax is probably the first horror movie I ever watched, I think I was like 6 or 7. It traumatised me so much that I had to sleep with my mom for a few weeks after watching it, but I was equally amazed by it too. I loved it as much as I was scared of it. I don't even care if it classifies as a bad or cringey movie. The concept is so creative, especially in the genre of horror wherein the same shit has been done a countless times. I still love House of Wax, it's great.

His commentary on REPO was mainly just him saying "I don't like the music or musicals so it's bad" like??? Maybe I'm taking it too deeply because it's my favorite musical, but damn dude. The music is a specific style that I know not everyone likes, but it's also a mix of dark/sexual and shock comedy which is what makes it so unique and enjoyable!

To be honest, them thinking of geeks as diversity is actually very refreshing. Why is assuming skin colour is the answer to diversity correct or good? Yeah you'll end up with a room full of people who look different, but all have exactly the indoctrination....and everyone is only focused on skin colour and only got there because of their skin colour...hooray...? Where you could instead focus on diversity of thought...much more valuable in reality. A room full of people who either look similar, or not, it's literally irrelevant what they look like (as it should be), all that matters is that they have different ways of thinking and interacting with the world....actual hooray.

This reminds me of a movie called 12 angry men which is an old court room drama about 12 white guys trying to judge a black teen who to deliver a verdict, at first the group is all pretty unanimous but one starts to unravel the case and things overlooked, their different personalities colour their perspectives and they all notice different things or think differently on the verdict and the whole movie is based on their different personalities, life experiences and standing and how that impacts their worldview. It is a great example of diversity of thought and the value of analysing everything and not judging based on how things initially look, especially when a life is on the line. Yeah I found this through Critical Drinker what of it?

Her performance in House of Wax actually wasn't half bad, she plays a good horror victim, and the character was pretty much just Paris Hilton like they told her to be herself. She wasn't bad in Repo the Genetic Opera either, although she can't sing so they didnt have her sing much, and when she did, they filtered it, or had her "talk" sing, which is common for actors to do when they are hired for a musical number but cant sing. Don't ask me why they would hire someone like that though. Beyond those two, I think she knows she isn't that great, but does it for fun.

I adored repo as a kid. For some reason like ten-ish years later I still know all the lyrics to the most iconic songs. I showed it to my husband recently and at the same time watched it for the first time in a long time and I oddly remember understanding the story better as a kid; now it confuses me a bit. But since it’s so nostalgic I was able to overlook its flaws. Also my husband got me a little glass vial of zydrate for my birthday it was awesome lmfao.

Repo! The Genetic Opera is my favorite movie of all time…I can't explain why, I don't generally like horror movies and I know it's flawed, but I love it. And Amber Sweet is my favorite character - again, I can't explain why (I'm a straight girl, so it's not sex appeal), I just love her. So I can't watch this video. I'm posting a comment to feed the algorithm, but I just can't bear to see someone tear apart a movie I hold so close to my heart - again, I know it's flawed, it definitely won't be hard to tear apart or make fun of, but it's precious to me. But all I know of Paris Hilton's work is that she plays my favorite character in my favorite movie, and after deliberating for days, I've decided I'm going to let it stay that way. Sorry, Elvis.

I watched repo the genetic opera when I was in my senior year of high school back in 09 it was pretty good I think the music was pretty good and they have Sarah brightman who is a great opera singer she plays blind mag. I recommend listening to her work. It’s funny he mentioned godsmack I used to love them in my junior and senior year along with disturbed.
