Alexis, as usual - stuff of dreams, stuff of sanctuary. "Butterfly" Patisserie. Cannot get more rarefied, more apt than that. Wow, major energies under construction now for the Olympics. Wishing for the world that it's a success. Mysterious and dear Alexis-hostess, consider sharing a Japanese excursion with us, their version of aristocratic and otherworldly accomodation. I think it would be fascinating juxtaposing the west's (France) with the east's (Japan) version of aesthetics and luxury . Always align with and enjoy your captions. Actually had already secured a travel visa - even ticket - to head to Japan in the late '80's while in Amsterdam, but subsequently canceled (met a dutch fella, got complicated) , so never got off the european continent. Intimate and not so intimate connections of mine have been to Hong Kong, and the thing I'm told over and over is that it's a dynamic place, not to mention - fabulous eating, great british *tailoring to take advantage of, if that your thing (Would be mine!). I'm sure the place is fascinating, looks it. Would enjoy your taking us there, if that comes up for you. Appreciate your thoughtful replies, Alexis, and I relish, truly, your sharing your physical/sense adventures with us. Very best-

Another gorgeous video by our gorgeous Alexis. Paris in the evening light just hits different. Very nice luxury hotel. I’ve not stayed there. I’m enjoying watching the Olympics coverage because the setting is so brilliant. I know the locals will be happy to have their city back when it’s over but seeing the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower is pretty special in my opinion. Your Chanel mini square top handle is perfection in that color. The mini baguettes are my fav, have you ever had baguettes in the states that compare? If so, I’d love to know where. I chose the hotel for its perfect Place de la Concorde location as well as its highly-recommended Butterfly Patisserie... and good havens it did not disappoint. So glad you love the pink purse, too - found it last year and couldn't imagine a sweeter color ever. Nope, haven't been lucky with having any such baguettes in the States yet. Maybe it's true that it's all in the water haha... and of course there's something about the way the French bake them. But, maybe some day...will keep you posted. A bientot!

Hello from Arizona. I always get so excited when I see another video from you. Out of curiosity, what sandals are you wearing in this video? I notice you always wear heels and never sneakers, probably because you are so tiny. We absolutely love Hotel de Crillon. It’s the only hotel in Paris that we go back to over and over. Did you happen to meet the butler named Nicolas? If not, next time you are there make sure to ask for him; he’s incredible. This gets me super excited because we are going back after Christmas, counting the days. Enjoy the rest of your summer. Lucky you, the weather is so much better in Cali than it is in AZ; sooooo boiling here.

Hello there... same here, so excited to see you, too! I'm wearing my fav cork sandals - they're great, light and well-constructed I can walk in them for up to half-hour...but for a truly long walk around town (one hour or more) I wear sneakers, that's for sure. My fav butler at Crillon is Gabrielle, and my Front Desk/Guest Relations extraordinaire is Guste 😊 Thrilled that you'll get to be there after Christmas - I'm sure you'll have a great trip!! Oh we had a few days in the low 90s here recently...but nothing compared to Arizona for sure. Hang in there... Hope you'll get to be calm, cool and collected 😎 soon...

Hi Alexis! I was wondering when you’d check out Crillon! I recently did a week at FSGV followed by a week at Crillon this past May/June and though the Crillon looks pretty I found service to be extremely disappointing and not even remotely close to FSGV. Now that you’ve tried all of the Paris hotels that matter is the George V still your favorite?

@MrMBenz1 Hi there! You were in Paris for two weeks and only had half the fun as Crillon let you down...that's scandalous. Sorry to hear that. The service was not perfect during my stay there, but it was promptly rectified...so maybe they deserve a second chance from you. Yes, I adore George V still. I stayed at this "top" hotel in Lake Como in May whose service also was woefully lacking that they won't grace my channel as a consequence haha! Lovely to have you here again 😊! Take care!!

Unfortunately, my issues with Crillon extended all the way through check-out despite the hotel being very much on notice that the stay was not going well. I was really hoping to love it there, but alas, FSGV remains my "home" in Paris. You definitely need to go back and try one of the newly renovated rooms--you will LOVE!
