@@TheGhostOfFredZeppelinhonestly the Olympics was like a. Final cherry on the top for me. My favourite thing was watching the qualifiers on the Olympic skateboarding channel. The Budapest qualifiers were amazing, I really liked the women’s final too. Going all the way back to last year I loved watching all the men’s and women’s events in Rome, Lausanne etc It was a shame Momiji didn’t make it to the Olympics, she was dominating qualifiers but then started choking in contests and just lacked the points to advance and didn’t qualify. There were so many big moments and in just one year from Rome to Budapest a lot of the women skaters literally grew from pre teens to teens and added multiple big tricks to their repertoire. My fav was Liz Akama 270 to switch board back to regular down the biggest rail, along with how consistent so many were with flips into grinds and slides.

I really believe that Jagger's nollie cab sw bs noseblunt was underscored, a standard back noseblunt is probably in the 60-70 range, a cab back noseblunt is in the 90-91 range so how is a switch back noseblunt a 93 and a nollie cab switch back noseblunt a 95? On top of that yuto and Jagger did the same trick opposite direction, I believe Jagger's variation is objectively harder due to it being on the hubba, when doing a switch noseblunt on a rail the lock in is the same as a standard tail slide where as on a hubba it's a blunt slide no matter how you look at it. I think if they wanna say yutos trick is a 97 then Jagger's should also be a 97 or at least 96 range. Even if 95 is a sketch doc, I would say Jagger's trick is still harder so after the slight sketch doc it shouldn't be two full points under yutos score, this is just my opinion though

@joaowegher87664 ай бұрын
I agree that Jagger's trick was probably harder, since he locked into a FS Blunt on a hubba (or sw bs noseblunt whatever), but the roll away was very sketchy compared to Yuto, who locked in, slide and rolled away perfectly, but in BS Blunt on the rail. Also, I think nollie bs 270s are harder than nollie fs 270s, so that might have made some difference on the score. But I never did any blunt variations so I can't really tell which one is harder, hubbas seem harder to lock, but rails seem scarier. If I was a judge I would be scratching my head. Yuto was saved by the rules last Olympics he flopped both his runs but just won on single tricks. They made the right call that you need a good run score to hold it down. It made a clear distinction who is best. The best people were able to be consistent and put together a solid run with the best level they can do reliably and then also pull a couple single tricks. The people who could only pull a run with a bail were rightfully taken out of podium potential when they flopped their runs.

Yuto was cooler when his hair was short. If he cuts his hair, he will be presented with a platinum medal, which is a higher level of gold.

I thought so too, but the variable heel 5-0 was still bonkers. He surprised me since I’d never heard of him before.

Why the fact of there is no french skater in final is a good news ?

idk, it's like some kind of inside joke where everyone pretends to hate the french, but I think that it's mostly in jest. Enfin je crois 🤔

The filming is not great either. They should hire somebody like chase to film better angles

Yeah he kinda choked in the prelims. It's kinda sad it's definitely one of the skaters I was waiting for the most considering the park we had. That huge gap was all he really needed. Same for Aurelien Giraud, it was a park made for those guys and sadly they both choked hard
