Beer level continuity in this video is UNBELIEVABLE!!!! how much got edited out? and how many refills were there!????? Well on GCN for keeping the presenters well lubricated. New drinking game for these preview shows: drink every time the beer level changes shot to shot.

Demarre has been mighty strong on the cobbles this year, with no hill to climb he definitely is my top pick, especially because winning Roubaix is his professional cycling dream, surely that gives you that extra motivation to bang on others at Carrefour de l'arbre and take the win on the velodrome!

Enjoying watching the Paris Roubaix just now. Not sure however, with all respect to tradition, that it's quite the same sport as proper road racing. Yes the competitors are the familiar names but the bikes are a little different, as are the dynamics of the race given the sheer volume of cobbles. When does a bike race become a (mere?) cyclocross marathon, if not in the Paris Roubaix?

A little weather trivia I just learned recently....when we see a percentage for percipitation....It does NOT mean "60% chance" it will rain as most people assume...It actually means that 60% of the coverage area being forecasted for will recieve rain at the reported on time for the area.

A couple of wildcards... Magnus Cort Nielsen possibly in the best form of his life and looking stronger after every cobble classic and then there's Jasper Stuyven. I just think Jasper is great! By the way, Marc Soler, our Catalan strong man (who lives in Andorra and is a totally awesome guy), is very much an all rounder. No punishment here. I feel he's going for a personal tough up haha... extended training session with a chance of winning a biggee!! Let's keep a very close eye on him.

Daniel Lloyd it seems you are right. I was under the impression that he was going to do it, but it seems I have misheard something on Danish tv. That’s a bit sad as I think he would actually do quite well given the type of rider he is and his previous results on the cobbles.

To me it seems that the reason Sagan may never win a P-R is that it is so flat. I mean, the Hell of the North is a race famously won by the ultimate clydesdale, Mägnus Backstedt! The race, if dry certainly favors men who seem to just be twisting the throttle with their right hand, whereas Sagan is much more of a puncheur than a pure grinder. But what do I know...as a Yank my opinion certainly doesn’t mean much. Like most folks, even as I do NOT care much for schadenfreude I DO pray for rain due to the majesty the race takes on when the clouds open up.

That tweet about monument wins isn't really all that relevant. Nine guys who have won more monuments than Sagan. Sagan completed his last full season while 27 years old. Only Kristoff, Degenkolb and Cunego had 2 monuments before their 28th birthday. More relevant stat for Paris-Roubaix is the number of victories in the cobbled classics. From the startlist I collected these stats. Devolder: 2 wins, Terpstra: 3 wins, Van Avermaet: 3 wins, Sagan: 5 wins. Since Boonen and Cancellara retired, there are no other active riders with more than 1 win.
