The 5th is a great place to live, has been for a while. The great thing about a compact yet dense city like Paris, with its mix of arrondissements and historic legacies in each, is that you can find an area that reflects your interests, ties and the convenience you'll want for your work or leisure. It never ceases to fascinate. Good luck with the (inevitably) tough search for an apartment!

You know, I spent years under the Pantheon in the sixties. I was a student in the great boarding school "Lycée Louis-le-Grand", rue Saint Jacques, then I became a student at the Sorbonne (Maths, Physics and other hard things) . I could meet Nobel prizes in physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Jean Paul Sartre, Jean Seberg, ASO. I used to spend hours walking in those streets. The buses were still oldish, with a nice platform (Search "french parisian bus 1965"). The teenage ladies used to wear miniskirt. It was terribly romantic to "flirt" in the "jardin du Luxembourg". A very good place to test my abilities in foreign languages...

Fun video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign langua

I have been watching and enjoying a lot of your interesting videos lately and I often wondered "she looks Hispanic" and I was right. I see you with a lot of Frida Kahlo and Maria Felix in you: cultured, adventurous, arty, funny, beautiful, multiple/intriguing personalities and not give a darn when you express yourself to others. You replied to me when I visited Paris in October 2023 and I appreciated it. Guess what? I am coming back for a whole month in September 2024 and stay again in the Latin Quarter. I can hardly wait. I will look for you (dreaming) when I walk the streets of Paris or dance by the Seine river next to Pont de Sully. I am Mexican, American and an Argentinian older senior because I danced tango in Buenos Aires for 20 years. I've also danced salsa all of my life. I wish you continued success.

Well, thanks (I think) for being compared to some big artists. If you're making another trip to France you must really be under the country's spell. For open-air dancing in warmer months, you are right: the Arènes on the riverbank near the Pont Sully are excellent. Also sometimes in Place de la République -- and try El Diabolito (in rue Saint-Sebastien in the 11th arrondissement)

I just discovered and subscribed to your channel. You really get the balance right: informative, witty and with a smattering of thoughtful opinions. I've watched a number of people do travelogues of France and specifically Paris, and sometimes find them annoying when people don't know what they are talking about and don't bother to look it up before making their video. So, your content is a really refreshing change. Also, who does your camera work? And do you do your own editing or do you have help. You are really professional. Thanks for all the great work.
