I have bought his book on parivartan yoga few years back on amazon. The most you can know about this yoga is in his book. It is very good book. Covers all the exchange houses. And there are lot of examples.

Great Examples & Explanation..... But what i could not understand was - How do the results of a chart differ when there is a Parivartana yoga? The results discussed here in the examples were the usual results of every house..... what is that EXTRA result that happened due to those planets/ houses being in the Parivartana yoga?

Alan, I am grateful for your session here, as information about parivartana is not easy to find. I have a triple parivartana, which I am still working to understand. My method with Medieval Western astrology was to look at firdaria for the times when the promise of the chart would be carried out. Looking at my past experiences in the appropriate time periods was simpler, because there was only one planet to consider in each primary period, and one in each secondary period. Now, I'm a little lost with timing Vedic dashas to my parivartanas. Do I look to the control planet when timing events, or are there other factors to consider as well?

Consider Sagittarius ascendant in Rashi, with Moon lord of 8th debilitated in 12th and Mars the 12th lord debilitated in 8th. How does one read this? 1. The dusthana lords are debilitated pre-exchange, indicating good effects. 2. Post exchange the dusthana lords come back to their own places and do not malign any other good house by virtue of remaining in their own dusthana house. 3. Pre-exchange they cause vipareeta raj yoga, Post Exchange they indicate 8th lord in 8th and 12th in 12th and hence considered pretty good. Am i right in my analysis?...your response will be much appreciated.

hi Prahalad ~ There may be no easy answer for part of a chart without seeing the whole chart, but I don't want to see your whole chart, so let me just make this observation. Parivartana between 8th and 12th lords is technically also a Viparita yoga, and this might play out well regarding the partner's financial affairs, but for the native, there can be a war between sexuality and spirituality, and potential complications with banking, insurance and estates. You might want to pick up my book PARIVARTANA YOGA (digital or paper) wherein I devote approx 300 words to discussing the specific outcomes of this 8/12 exchange. hi Murali ~ I guess it depends on what school of Jyotish you subscribe to regarding moolatrikona signs of the nodes, but here's what I know and practice, courtesy of Hart deFouw and his guru. RA is considered swarashi in Aquarius, the moolatrikona sign of SA whose characteristics RA shares; KE is considered swarashi in Aries, the moolatrikona sign of MA whose characteristics KE shares; both RA/KE are considered uccha/exalted in Scorpio, and both are considered neecha/debilitated in Taurus. So Virgo and Pisces, although mentioned in Parashara as favored signs for the nodes, don't apply here in this (Tantrik) system.
