Phenomenal video, Steve thank you! Can you tell me how to stream Apple Car Play from my phone without having to connect via cable then take it out when you want to change the AC or seat settings like massage?? New subscriber.
@CarsWithSteve2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate that! Unfortunately the Aviator doesn't have the option for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto - has to be connected via USB. You don't need to disconnect each time to get to other settings! On the CarPlay or Android Auto home screen there's a Lincoln button you can press that will bring you back to the main screen. With the Aviator massage seats, if you press the door button on the far right that would launch you in the massage seats without having to navigate through the screen

My garage door is quite narrow, you reckon it will park there accurately without breaking the side view mirrors?
@CarsWithSteve2 жыл бұрын
Depends on how wide the garage door is. There's always the option to power fold the sideview mirrors in order to pull in!
@Kausarniyazee2 жыл бұрын
@@CarsWithSteve Thanks Steve, I was under the impression that the park assist won't work with mirrors folded as it houses the cameras (?) plus even if it does work with that then I will have to fully trust the system to do the right thing as I would not be able to get side view for emergency stop. Will be tragic to scrape the car first day from showroom, getting the 2023 model tomorrow.

@@Kausarniyazee I wouldn't use park assist to back into a garage, leave that to doing it yourself. Unless your garage door backs right onto a road the park assist system won't be able to recognize it as a spot edit: Hope you love the new Aviator!

@@CarsWithSteve thanks Steve. I went through your detailed review (1hr+) of the aviator and it was really helpful in making up my mind.

Good to know! Wasn't reviewing cars when the MKZ was still being sold new so never got a chance to dive into it

Is it possible to turn off the broadcast signal of the key fob to prevent someone from reading the signal for stealing the car?
@CarsWithSteve Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not.. only real option is to look at a faraday pouch and drop your key in there after you're done using it

That took so long, could have had it parked myself way quicker. Also holding that button down the whole time is cumbersome. I feel more comfortable when I have control of the gas and brake with this feature.
@CarsWithSteve3 жыл бұрын
It is a bit of a hassle compared to just parking yourself but park assist is there for people who have issues parking. Think neck/back or other mobility issues.. I do find that parallel park works way faster than perpendicular but it’s still early tech right now
@tjleland26707 ай бұрын
Why do you have to hold the button other manufacturers don't have to do it like that
@CarsWithSteve7 ай бұрын
Everyone does park assist differently. Kia/Hyundai/Genesis don't have traditional Park Assist but a feature on the keyfob for you to pull the car in and out of tight spaces
