I agree! The expertise on food quality gives you are real edge. The only thing you could perhaps add is to get into the pools and comment on experience of the pools the warmth the water quality the depth and so on. When I take my family to resorts these are very important elements for us. Thank you Kevin!

THANK YOU for mentioning that awful problem about the train horn and train rumble sound leaking through the windows and being noticeably audible within your room! I had a similar problem at the Mulia Hotel. Us light sleepers hate noise at night so your solution is definitely worth mentioning to all us viewers! If I ever stay at the Park Hyatt in Jakarta, I’ll be sure to ask for a room on the other side, away from the train!

I originally thought it was just a SUPER loud train… but then was at the Four Seasons the next night and even on a highway I couldn’t hear a peep- so they must have cheaped out with the glass quality (or whatever element would make sense haha). Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

As an admitted hotel geek (sometimes my whole trip revolves around staying in a hotel) this is a property that I'll go out of my way to visit. Now I'm going to start Googling some of those Indonesian artists you did a great job researching. (... and yes, I did grab a bag of popcorn before watching)

I have become a faithful subscriber to your videos. You give a comprehensive, objective view of hotels and airlines with the right balance of narration and video panning speed. Thank you. One question and one suggestion: - In any given city, a myriad of hotels exist. How do you choose which hotels you review? - Perhaps consider routinely describing the atmosphere in each hotel you stay (e.g., formal or relaxed, arrogant or friendly, mainly adults or many families, etc.). For example, I avoided Park Hyatt up to now as I believed (perhaps mistakenly) that it appealed only to the super wealthy in a stuffy, unwelcoming manner).
@tfft
@tfft Жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for the kind words. I’ve been ‘training’ myself on panning for quite a while now. It’s a very unnatural way to move in real life in order to make it presentable on film 😂. For your first point, it is a myriad of factors that go into it, including location, brand, age, content-friendly, etc. The intricate details of I’ve actually just started to lay out in one of my Patreon posts and plan on diving into the topic much deeper as I get more content loaded on there. And just FYI, I don’t make a habit of promoting my Patreon in comments, but I’ve just begun posting content there and your question was very specifically what I’ve started to dive into and I don’t want to dilute the value for my patrons- don’t want it to seem I’m brushing you off! Second part, I try to find a balance in how much I say and everything for me is relative to what I think is a reasonable perception of the property. So, if your best guess would be that “property A” is a stuffy atmosphere- and in my review I didn’t mention it, that’s me “saying” that the perception is correct. Same thing applies for something like noise bleed. If I don’t mention it, there were no problems- if there was noise bleed I will surely point it out. Otherwise I’d need to double the length of near all videos to actually say everything I’d like to say 😂. In my experience for high end brands though, it has A LOT to do with the location, often more than the brand itself. For example, I know for a fact that I could casually stroll through just about anywhere at the Peninsula Bangkok in shorts and flip flops. The Peninsula Hong Kong? I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t allow me to walk through the lobby in shorts and I wouldn’t dare with 🩴🩴. Sorry that was a long winded answer! Haha. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Just had a 3 night stay here in the Deluxe Suite. Insanely beautiful hotel, lots of positives with a limited negatives I can think of. The driver situation I agree with 100%. Do not use Grab here if you're used to it in other countries, Bluebird seems to be the best service for taxi's out here. There's also a weird 5K parking ticket that all drivers get when they pick u up from the roundabout, seems pretty silly to charge taxis 5K to come to the roundabout. I missed most of the breakfast buffet during my stay, my gf had a stomach virus from Vietnam she was fighting so there was a lot of room service. Food was inconsistent but fine, pricey. I disagree about the train, as I did hear it from time to time, the mosque was actually the loudest culprit throughout my stay which may be part of your great/horrible rating. The 4AM wakeup calls were quite loud from our room and I had to get up and close all the doors in our hotel then put on music to drown it out. Maybe it's a sensitive subject, I'm not sure, I had heard mosque's in Yogyakarta year's back and I have no issue with it as I know it's a cultural thing, but for a Park Hyatt this was pretty disappointing that it was so apparent in our room at 4am. It is an oddly placed hotel....that's for sure.

Thanks for the amazing videos as usual! My understanding about the shower amenities is that Hermes doesn't want to do bulk ones so far. One hotel im often staying at moved away from using them because of that reason. Hopefully they join the trend so we can have Hermes amenities again, in bulk, as I was sad to see them go.
@tfft

I can understand not wanting to do bulk for a luxury brand but the green plastic bottles they use now have been around for decades and are just about the cheapest feeling ones you can find these days. I’ve seen some beautiful metal ‘single use’ containers for high end stuff- if they’re so stubborn they should at least go that route. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

When Indonesians say "smallbites", they really mean it as literally small. Please Dont get offended. Lol... Yes, that price is quite exorbitant for "smallbites". But, this is Hyatt hotel locating at Jakarta Diplomatic Quarter and most of Central Government buildings are located in Central Jakarta. Central Jakarta is like a Washington DC of Jakarta, while South Jakarta would be something like NYC of Jakarta.

I’ve stayed here twice now. I love the hotel so much but the big negative to me is how utterly dead the place is. Went to get a drink in the bar at midnight on a Saturday night and there was precisely zero people there and the staff were closing it down I guess because of this. The hotel seems to be as empty as in your video all of the time! Last time I stayed I had the fear that the place will eventually close as surely it can’t be profitable. So sad!

Would you consider pushing globalist status in the future? I find it super valuable, but don’t know if it would make the reviews less “honest”. Also - you can create a hyatt leverage rate (basically a small business discount) for free. It often times will save you 10 or 15 percent.
