Jimin has said from the beginning that he had a plan, for his career, his life path. He has persevered and stuck to his path even through struggling with self doubt, self identity and depression. Living an idol life is so difficult and grueling as you live a life under a microscope with your best and worst days put out there for the world to scrutinize and criticize. I admire him and his tenacity, his talent, and his ability to remain as humble and self-effacing as he has. Such a talented, sassy, sexy, beautiful, angelic human. I know Yoongi has a soft spot for Jimin. Yoongi knows how hard Jimin had to work just to be part of Bts. He was the last member, almost let go. He didn't sing and wasn't able to take singing lessons like the others. He danced contemporary and transitioning to idol dance was a challenge. I adore Park Jimin for his perseverance and strong will to make it! When I saw his solo "Lie" back in 2016 along with his beautiful dancing, that was it. Cute, sexy, lovely and sweet guy Park Jimin. I admire Jimin so much because he out of all the members really had to prove his metal. The other members were pretty much guaranteed a position in the group. RM which the group was going to be built around. Suga who was also a strong rapper and wanted to produce. JHope because the group needed a strong dancer. JK because Bighits recognized his great potential. V and Jin were chosen solely on their visuals. Now every single one of the members worked their butts off to learn and perfect their craft and they're all amazing. Jimin came in when the group dynamic had already been established and they had several years of training over him. Jimin had to prove over and over again to BigHits that he had what it took to be an Idol and in the shortest amount of time possible.

I think this was a really sweet and enjoyable video to watch, but one that is dated to a time in Jimin's career where he had a lot of uncertainness about his ability to sing and perform live. Now, I think with all the success BTS and Jimin has had he is much more aware and confident in his ability to sing and perform. That's not to say he still doesn't have his worries about continuing to maintain the same level of success he has achieved thus far. I'm sure he still worries about pleasing Army and putting out music and performances that are of high quality and are enjoyable.

I agree. He's a perfectionist and self aware of it, but I think his ambition might overcome those worries-- he himself joked around saying that Tae started his album way before he did and was still uncertain while Jimin started later and was almost finished,, he was working fast and just wanted to share his work...I feel like jimin before Promise would not have had that confidence with his artistry and ability as a musician. Like, look at him now, with Face on the way! I also often think about his 2019 new year's wishes on their bangtan bomb... he did simmering to the effect of how he'll always be self-critical but he's comfortable with that, with that part of him... it reassures him, in a way. Our jiminie is super ambitious, always talking about "wanting to show a new side"..I like how all the members of bts repeat that phrase a lot, if wanting to show a new side to themselves. They don't settle, and I think that's also another element of why they gel so well... very excited for what our confident and cool jimin of today has to share with us

I would’ve thought that he would find some connection/solace and reassurance with Jin, who not only couldn’t sing but couldn’t dance either. I wonder if they ever bonded over their struggles. I do feel the members should’ve spoken up on stage and publicly rejected this notion that he came to BTS with nothing! He was the most talented of all of them, in my opinion! Regardless, of his struggles, Jimin is a masterpiece - he’s a world class dancer and has the most angelic, breathy, unique voice I’ve ever heard. There’s no one in the planet who sounds as beautiful, ethereal as he does. He makes my heart melt when I see his face, hear his voice and experience his personality! I love his voice the most and hope he now realizes how special he is. I’m just so happy to see him thriving and getting all of these opportunities now - he deserves the world! But Jin was a trainee with BigHit for over 2 yrs, and had the benefit of vocal training/coaching that whole time! Whereas Jimin, who was last to join BTS just 6 months before their debut, was denied and had absolutely no vocal training whatsoever! Jimin even said that he ended up watching in through the door when JK & Tae was given their vocal training lessons. But had none on his own. Jimin was just such an amazingly good natural singer that in spite of no training he was still given the official title of Lead VOA,it’s as well as Main Dancer. It must have been hard for him to be amongst the other members especially in beginn8ng when they already knew and were with each other bt 2- 3 yrs some members joining earlier then others. But all being trainees for so much longer then Jimin. Jimin always the perfectionist, and loving to know beforehandthe corr3ct way of doing things, was never given the vocal lessons in the beginning, so as to be able to Use his vocal chords with better placement and other learned abilities to not strain his vocal chords, which could even do damage. That’s what he was concerned with, which he himself even said during that 2016 vlog he made while BTS were touring Japan, Funny how that part always gets edited out, only showing his frustration not being able to sing the way he wanted, and not shown is where he says how he’d love to be able to take 6 months off to finally get the vocal training he always wanted, which would give him more endurance and stamina as well. But even without he was all the more amazing considering how even without his vocals were beyond breathtakingly amazing. Jimin was never insecure as much as perfectionist, desiring to do everything the correct way. To Jin’s credit, though he wasn’t the natural born singer like Jimin, ended up through all his so hard work and dedication to finally be able to achieve the most amazing vocals ever. Jimin even mentioned and kept praising Jin saying what an inspiration he was while watching backstage Jin’s awake performance. Where it showed how all that hard work paid off! Jin, in turn has said that Jimin inspired him since very beginning, even when Jimin’s dance looked like perfection, he’d still go over it again and again, His work ethic that Jimin was know for, inspired Jin to never give up as well. Jimin even coached Jin with his dancing encouraging him patiently to keep trying. Jin has even mentioned this as well. So yeah, you’re right. They both were eachothers support as well as inspiration in many different ways.

I know they have both spoken about getting inspired from each other (besides being on and off drinking buddies😅)... Jin has spoken numerous times about jimin being an inspiration to him (even tho Jin tends to show his love in actions more than words, I think). And I never forget Jimin saying that Jin taught him a lot about happiness. That's such a powerful thing to say about another person.

@@justice7071 - yes! You are quite right! Jimin as early as second grade wanted to be a singer! He loved going to karaoke in his youth and his whole family was well aware that he could sing and yes, hit those high notes! I mean he obviously could, but not only that, but was so so naturally talented singer without even any training, that along with Jimin being given official title of Main Dance, was given official title of Lead Vocalist by BigHit since BTS debuted. But the problem was that even though one has ability to sing even as well as Jimin was able to, without proper vocal training one won’t necessarily have the endurance and stamina, and indeed more sore throats as well as laryngitis can happen, or even worse damaging vocal chords from straining, if one doesn’t use vocal chords ans well as learn8ng other techniques vocally. This is what Jimin was well aware of and so frustrated about. As opposed to all other members who 8ndeed did have the benefit of vocal training since the others were trainees from 2-3 yrs. Whereas Jimin joined BigHit end of 2012 but wasn’t even signed as BTS member til January 12, 2013. Debuting just 6 short months later with no vocal training like yes, even Jin had for over 2 yrs already! Just like with Jimin’s dancing, Jimin vocally has the ability to put so much emotion in, to make one feel whatever the song is trying to convey. But as one sees in some of the clips he did indeed suffer from sore throat, even laryngitis, which he knew could have been possibly be prevented had he had the proper training. Jimin even said as much in that blog that’s always shown from 2016 when on tour in Japan, where he says how frustrated he was not being able to hit certain notes the way he wanted. Sadly that clip is shown all the time, but what’s left out is where he goes in further in that blog saying how he’d love to be able to take 6 months off to be able to get properly trained vocally! So many thing that just singing is enough, but with proper training, which Jimin has achieved as well as at this point excelled at to the point vocal coaches marvel at his ability. Jimin is a consummate perfectionist, so of course he was so frustrated those beginning yrs was denied the training. To me that has nothing to do with insecurities but being a perfectionist and doing everything the best! Jimin love excelling and being on top with whatever he achieves to do.

But yet one never sees the other members crying about the same problems backstage after a performance and say they’re “insecure”. So tired of spreading false impressions of Jimin. There is a difference of being insecure or being a perfectionist! Even that blog Jimin did in 2016 while on tour in Japan is always edited to show him being frustrated about his vocals, but never shows, the part where he says how he wants so badly to finally be able to have the proper vocal lessons he was denied. How he’d love to be able to take 6 months off to train so he could use his vocal chords better so as not to even possibly damage them. That part is always edited out! Not shown! But since forever ppl have always claimed Jimin was i”insecure”, which indeed is just the opposite. Jimin is a perfectionist and wants everything just right, that is one of the many reasons his solo songs are all so successful.

I feel the exact same way! We’ve seen V AND JK crying behind the stage because they feel they did a terrible job singing or lost his voice but the members never seemed to really remind him of these things - I find that so strange! Telling him he’s ‘cool’ didn’t resolve his issue of losing his voice! It angers me every time I think about the fact that he was NEVER given vocal lessons in those first few years! It just baffles me! Anyway, I’m my opinion he is more talented than every one of them because of his insane versatility! Without any vocal lesson he should perform the most dangerous part of choreos and the highest notes....He usually dances like the professional comtemporary dancer. It spends energy even if he doesn't move. He needed the lessons the most. Until now I have felt so sad and sorry for Jimin. At least the company should protect him from having guilty conscience.

What I dislike the most is that these people make Jimin look weak and try to explain that his voice is inadequate. There are times when not all members can read and they are all members with voice training but Jimin had no voice training back then and it was Jimin who could control his voice perfectly. And everyone knows that he is always the best in the voice, the high notes, the dance. Jimin is such a perfectionist artist and so humble that even though some know it very well, I still feel sorry for them for the bullshit they spread. We don't believe you when you say that. We see and hear Jimin's Beautiful voice so well that I just laugh at these helpless people when you distort the facts we know.
