I needed this. I’ve been feeling very constricted the more I learn about photography and all the rules

One thing I found gave me a fresh perspective was shooting with a telephoto. At 100-300 mm, I was forced to isolate a subjected at the nature park. Instead of the entire tree, I focused on a leaf or branch.

As they say “Mad Dogs and Photographers go out in the midday sun”. Great tips and well presented. I worked with a photographer in the Army and he used to say, “Don’t be afraid to screw up but learn and adapt”, that was back in the days of 35mm, which would restrict you due to costs. So much fun these days with a digital box brownie rather than my first camera in the 1960s.
