I have not posted in a long time, but I did really enjoy learning about the Parker pens of the 19e50 era, not long after I was born. Maybe those pens I purchased in 1971 or so (when I first practiced law, a senior partner told me (never checked, you do what senior partner’s tell you): You must use fountain pens for the signing of all estate planning documents, because fountain pen ink can be time-dated. He told me ball point ink could not. I never checked either. I went out and bought a Schaefer Fountain Pen, one I still have. :)

At last I know what the 'RU' stands for. A very classy pen, indeed. The new owner should be thrilled. Thanks for showing us. G'd on'ya, Wodonga!

@@penkino1 P.S. I forgot to mention a possible 'Signet'. Does one of Sheaffer's myriad of models share the name?

A really lovely pen. I have one of these, much more battered and well-worn than this example, and I never knew whether it was a signet or insignia. But now I can say for sure that it is the early, signet variant. Thanks.
