Thanks for the year-end review! I hope your year is rewarding and happy. Have finished OLDBID and was fascinated by some of the historical detail. So much so that I did some research on the time and place myself. My takeaway beyond the fascinating history was the degree of research you put into even a one-off novel like this. I’m very much impressed. Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy new year! Many thanks for the comment, James. Yes, I find that period/city fascinating, and it was a joy to go back to it and review the history. Lots of wasted hours poring over old books!

Happy New Year to you! My Uni pencil is wonderful. Mine has a knurled grip which is quite handy. I understand putting aside the Diabetic Witterings. I did enjoy listening to your journey and will again when you have the chance. Have you considered pens made from India?
@writerlywitterings3 күн бұрын
Thanks, Paul - yes, the Uni pencils are stunning, aren't they? Pens from India? Yes, I've looked at them a few times. I'd seriously love an old-fashioned bakelite type, and it'd be fun to try some of the various nib types - just now the finances aren't able to justify any spending, though, and that'll probably stay the case until about July, sadly!

@writerlywitterings oh, I understand that monetary problem, being retired. I rely on friends and my son and the blessing of my wife to get a new pen 😔. Be that as it may, my son gifted me for Christmas an Indian pen made from bakelite. Stunning pen and the nib works very well. When you are able, you should try one. The cost is reasonable and the quality is very good.
