Literally just launched a fivem server today that is anti pay-to-play. Spent 9 months in development, spent nearly 5k building it and it launched today. Everything is free and players earn things based on their time commitment and the RP that they bring to the server. Its a passion project that wont return the investment. People forget thats an option sometimes and EVERYTHING is about return.

Played that server, got perma banned for combat logging. Only way to get money basically was selling weed since other jobs were unavailable. The moment you sold weed civilians alerted the cops, you could get away from the area and the cops would pull you for no reason. And when you ask for a lawyer “there is no lawyer” and just jail you and putting you in crippling debt.

Not entirely true, depending on what logs they are keeping. World of warcraft log everything for 90 days. It's incredibly messy and far from straight forward to trace things. It is possible but things are organised. It's just a fat log of data you have to filter yourself.
