Soooo, the glass tube type single use ones are fairly accurate:- chemical reaction turns the crystals green if alcohol present in your breath. Beyond that, I’d settle for nothing short of a fuel cell type; and you’re looking at about a ton plus for that, plus annual calibration.

99p?! I got one like that for a tenner a while ago. I personally use a AlcoHawk PT500 now though, as this device (as well as other cheaper models) has been approved by the US government as an approved screening device. I've no idea whether it is as accurate as a UK police issue one because I've never (thankfully!) been breathalysed by the police.

Forget about cheap keyhain breathalysers they're no help i tell you. I got one before its a waste of money, opt to buy fuel cell sensor type, the likes of Alcosense, its a known brand to manufacture reliable breathalysers like the Alcosense Verity, Volt and Stealth in Australia and Alcosense Lite and Elite in UK..these are durable and accurate ones...
