I just picked up the holy land lark M2 camera kit last week and I wanted to buy the full kit so I could plug it into my cell phone and my iPad but I figured just buy the camera kit cause that’s what I need it most for. But in the camera kit, it came with a USB-C cable to USB-C and USB-C cable to lightning cable. And you can plug the camera receiver into your cell phone using the USB-C cable and you can download the app if you want, but the microphone works using the camera receiver. I thought I found something that nobody knew about, but I only found one other reviewer of this microphone that actually said the same thing. But the kit that comes with all the receivers, you can adjust the volume using those receiversonly with the camera receiver. I didn’t know if you knew that, but I just wanted to share it is one great microphone. Definitely my favorite. Thanks for sharing and good luck to the winner who receives it they’ll definitely love it.

So only the camera can adjust the gain? 😮
@LMActionsports
@LMActionsports 27 күн бұрын
@@LouisLuzuka from the video I saw where they did a review of the combo kit. It said that you can’t adjust a gain on the adapters for your cell phone or the lightning adapter. Only on the camera receiver. And if I’m correct, only the camera receiver will let you record both microphones in stereo. The USB receiver and the lightning receiver only lets you record in mono, well I just looked it up. You can only record in mono. I say get the camera edition and it works for everything. And I just looked on Amazon and they are having a sweet deal for the combo kits $111 and the camera kit is $100. I could’ve saved 25 bucks if I would’ve waited a week. But being able to adjust the gain really help tuning it in. I hope this helped you out. I didn’t know any of this until I bought it cause I didn’t think it would come with the USB-C cables and I didn’t even know it had a USB-C port on the camera receiver. I guess you can update the firmware on it

@ u are so helpful M thank you, you’re a champion U think it would be better if I use the camera adapter and just adapt it to usb c for phone stuff? Thank you 🙏

@@LouisLuzukayes sir. Since you only get stereo sound using the camera receiver, in case you want to use both of your microphones at once connected to your cell phone or tablet or computer it will really benefit. The only downside is you have a USB-C cable dangling out of your phone connected to the receiver. It’s not all nice and neat like the combo kit with the other adapters. But I learned all this on my own. I couldn’t figure out why there was those two cables in there, and I just decided to plug it into my android cell phone, and my iPad Pro M4. And you can download the apps and use the apps while it’s plugged in. It’s called lark sound. Yeah it was an accident. I was just curious to see if it didn’t work and not too many people know this unless there’s other video reviews talking about it. I only found one out of the 30+ videos I’ve watched. If I can help somebody save a couple bucks and get the full potential out of your microphones or whatever equipment I’m gonna do it.

I've been watching a lot of IRL streams recently and I see these adorable tiny mics on every streamer. I was just now in the shower wondering how I would find the exact mic they are using for my dream of doing my own outdoor cooking show and no joke, I open up my KZbin page and see this video. I could not believe it and took it as a sign from the universe to pursue my dream no matter how hard it will be. Thank you!

I love the videos where you go over optimising settings of cameras many people are likely to own (phones / action cameras) so that almost anyone can up their game with the tools they already possess. It might be a fun challenge to try an actual (or simulated) job shadow for client work where the filmmaker is limited to only these sorts of cameras, just to see how far they can actually be stretched by the average person? Can see tools like the Lark M2s coming in clutch for those sorts of shoots!

FTF member here! Looks like an awesome mic! At the end of the day, saying that you wish you had somewhere to plug in a wire is reasonable but it reminded me that this just isn’t the use case for this mic. It’s great to have options, so maybe a wired situation would be where you take out a different mic, but it looks like I might use this 80+% of situations! Video idea: Popping into shoots with other FTF members to help out. Maybe make a post and see who could accommodate you tagging along. You could do interview questions along the way and it would be interesting imo You’re doing great, Landen! Keep it up!
