I wouldn't call myself "advanced" but I was definitely tired of just hearing about "the basics" and "optimal" which is a big reason I come to your channel to learn new things.

Intermediate, advanced, what's the difference? Both benefit from more attention to detail. And direct neck training!
@Marly885 ай бұрын
Why would you say neck training? I remember you talking about neck focus (with the towell between ur teerh lol) and jaw muscles and overall strength. Do you honestly believe neck is not to miss, even if your not into aesthetics?

@@Marly88 "even if your not into aesthetics" What the hell else would you train for, honestly? You wanna become the best wageslave on a construction site? Seriously. Strength gains beyond "intermediate level" are not just pointless, they are harmful. You'll obliterate your discs ego-squatting or -deadlifting loads the human spine didn't evolve to support and you'll spend the next 50 years of your life regretting it.

what barbell do you have? because for this i want a barbell that does not rust so i need it in chrome right? it has to be drop resistant so bronze bearings not copper? and it needs a middle knurling for one handed lifts... and i am cheap and from europe and refuse to pay outrageous shipping costs so with all these requirements .... im cooked 😂
@KeterMalkuth5 ай бұрын
Chrome or stainless ought to be the best option for rust resistance, but no matter what, you won't be able to get something cheap and be guaranteed rust resistance. Cheaper chrome bars will use inferior plating that might as well be aesthetic only, the chrome will flake off very easily. There won't really *be* many cheap stainless bars, but those that are, will probably rust fairly quickly due to poor quality stainless steel. Any good barbell will be able to handle drops. I've never personally seen copper bushings. Bronze bushings or composite bushings are both very common, either are good. Needle bearing bars are also fine, but because there's more parts and places for moisture to accumulate, if you can't store your bar indoors, you'll probably want to stick with a bushing bar and avoid bearings. The center knurl isn't as important as you might think, just because most companies use very passive knurling for the center of the bar. They practically may as well be slick steel. Just get some straps for one handed lifts if you want to go extremely heavy, and embrace the extra challenge of the slick bar if you want to lift without a strap on the slick portion of the bar. I'm not familiar with european shipping, I'll admit. Rep fitness makes very good and affordable bars and are apparently going to begin selling in EU within the next few months. Rogue does as well, but the prices are somewhat inflated. Eleiko is based out of EU, so probably not a bad idea. Just do some research on your specific market, accept that this is probably going to be a pretty expensive purchase, and go with something from a reputable brand that uses high quality materials. Remember, even in bad conditions, a good barbell will still last you a decade. Break down the cost of a more expensive barbell over a decade of daily use and you'll see the cost isn't as bad as you might think.
