Awesome. I learned some things. I wish I had time to go to Detroit and see it. I will keep an eye out for date extensions/ tours.

Me too! I live right here in Flint, but don't get to Detroit much.

This PLP was beautiful! This was the first time I heard about this exhibit. Will the exhibit go on tour, come back, or have the dates extended?

blessings 🙂 Happy Friday, what's your take on the young man who was expelled from school because of his hair ?

It was immoral to do that to him, and I’m a 57 year old ww. 🤷♀️

I wonder how many black people went to it?

"We practically invented social commentary" Yes, before blacks talked about what was happening in society, no one ever talked about society or what was happening. History isn't full of plays and theatre about society. Why do you think nothing happened until blacks did it?

Not you getting all poetic at the end 🥹🖤❤️💚 LOVE!! A local news station ran a segment about this exhibit on KZbin. I really hope it travels bc I won’t be in Detroit any time soon 😩 I took a class on race in America cinema at Rutgers and that STILL didn’t unpack all the intersectional layers of this exhibit.
