Never seen someone run out of gas AND back into a parking space. I’m guessing he backed in and parked there to do “something else” and ran out of gas with the car idling for so long.
@donovanwilliams293 жыл бұрын
Did you ever run out of gas in the middle of traffic, what would you do? Most normal people will move it out of the way of traffic. Your comment shows you are judgemental and insensitive. Especially since the car got the gas and started right up and left right away. Wonder what you would do if your car broke down in the middle of the highway. Leave it in middle lane or push it to the side or soft shoulder as to not block highway traffic.
@briansaben56973 жыл бұрын
@@donovanwilliams29 Actually #Jonnyonwheels brings up a good point. If you ran out of gas you wouldn’t push it backwards into a parking space or be concerned with parking it perfectly between the lines. Doesn’t mean he was doing anything wrong though.
@Quagthistle3 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that myself. I remember a time (when I was 11 years old) when my Mom was going through a divorce and we were VERY hard up on money (like mac 'n cheese & ramen poor). Since my dad insisted that he get the house and family car or he was going to contest custody, Mom bought the cheapest jelopy at the used car lot (school bus yellow land barge that ate gas like Tic Tacs). When we occassionally ran out of gas, we'd push it to a parking lot, sure, but I can't recall ever pushing perfectly into a space. We'd talk to the people who owned the lot, and they were usually willing to let our car remain there for the few minutes it took for Mom to run for gas. Something about this guy seems a bit fishy to me, too, but the star of this show is a nice guy who gives people second chances. As for the cigarettes, yeah, definitely a waste of money to those of us who have never been addicted to them, however, I've known people who were, and I've heard the addiction is VERY hard to break. When people I've known started smoking, they never intended to get addicted. "Oh, it's just one. I can quit any time." In a terribly short period of time, they find that they cannot quit quite so easily, and then they realize just how expensive the habit can be. By that point, breaking free is MUCH harder, and can easily eat into your gas money. The people I've known who took up smoking has severe problems with stress or anxiety that they turned to cigarettes to cure because mental health care is rather lacking in the US. Anyway, I don't know what this guy's story is, but my point is that it's hard to judge a person's circumstances from such a short exchange. (Oh, and my Mom's axiom from the 90s: always keep $5 you never spend tucked in the back of your wallet/purse/checkbook. It can save your life if you run out of gas.)
@donovanwilliams293 жыл бұрын
@@briansaben5697 He has NO VALID POINT bro The objective is to move the car out of the way . Example Why moved the car out the way and take 2 spots, ultimately being still in the way. Usually people move out the way so they can return to car for necessary repairs if need be at possibly minimal cost. Why push car onto hydrant or tow away zone knowing it can be towed anytime furthering the costs
