But nine times out of 10 is their fault and enforcement doesn't give us a break. Keep up the good work I'm a new subscriber love watching you.

They need to be reported now, but it would be childsplay for the government to connect insurers' databases together and automatically fine anyone who lacks insurance but has a roadworthy vehicle. That's how they do it in the Netherlands. No insurance? Automatic monthly fine. Really hard to cheat on the system as a result. Also low chances of you being ruined if some uninsured knob crashes into you.

I am handicap myself I have handicap plates on my vehicle I am so glad to see that you and your company toes people that park illegally in handicap spots. I have found many many times when I go to park in a spot someone is there illegally I never confront them that always just starts a big argument. I live in Idaho they seem not to toll people in handicap spots that are there illegally so I wished your company was here in Idaho thanks for what you do.

I have noticed when I'm driving through Georgia and South Carolina there are a lot of people driving with no tags. They must be a lot more relaxed than Virginia. You almost never see that in some states. You would get stopped and ticketed here and your car would be towed.

I rented a U-Haul once from a tow yard that had a sign up that there was a $25 charge for "bad attitude", and another $25 charge for "swearing". Glad I didn't get towed there.

@Cyndi Rothrock and that's how it works on public property.... not private property... unless you call a cop out to write the ticket ..government plays no real role in this..other than to set the rules and limits of who ,what why ,and how it can be towed .... by law in Ga ,if a tow truck is called to remove your car from private property they have to release it if you pay $100... after that the storage fees and paperwork fees stack up fast....and if you let it sit to long they can sell that shit ...

Be cheaper since already on the truck to have you tow it to a rental outdoor storage and the guy can pay the rent for a month. That way he saves on towing bills when he still does not get them running.

Well; lets put it this way, I never been TOWED for being stupid; Parked illegally, Expired Tags or Registration period. Only time I have been towed is when I've broken down. I watch them tow them out of our development all the time mostly abandon cars. You TOW Guy's have a tough job, but you handle it professionally!

Homeboy didn't have insurance and he knew it. You're right, he was just trying to steal it. Glad ya'll are on to it though. As for the cheapskate with the illegal car dealership out of an apartment complex, it's cheaper to go ahead and register them, and still flip them, than it is to keep paying tow fees. Not that an illegal car dealership is ever a good idea, but if you're going to do it, find a more appropriate place to park them.

It takes proof of insurance, and up to date inspection, and paid-up vehicle taxes before you can get a tag in NC.

@@chemicalrecoveryfellowship1721 Probably. We get a plastic sticker that goes on the metal tag. You can trade-in your metal tag when it is worn out. I should have said sticker instead of a tag. We only have 1 tag that goes on the back of the vehicle. Not 2 tags like some states.

That's what I'm thinking. Likely no real driver's license either. In cases like this it's usually someone else's DL, SS#, and/or Information used to get tags for the cars.

In South Australia they have camera’s set up to read number plates all over the place, driving unregistered vehicles in different states can cost you lots, In New South Wales if you drive an unregistered vehicle on a public road you’ll be fined $607; in Victoria it could cost you $758; in South Australia it’s $374; Tasmania slaps you with a $285.25 penalty; it’s $250 in Western Australia and in the ACT it’s $660.

I'm surprised your company is expected to check stuff like insurance. Here in IL, all you need is reasonable proof the car is yours, an ID, and a credit card. They don't give a crap if you're legal or not, once it's off the lot, that's your problem.

In California the tow yards will not release until registration is paid up or they get a removal from DMV do they not require that in your state???

I have noticed on several videos that vehicles which have been sitting for a long time always have a good layer of dirt-sand under them when the vehicle is removed. Do you get a lot of sand mixed in with the rain down there? I have left vehicles for months on concrete without moving them and never had anything like what I have seen in these videos. A sandbox under every car.........

It’s not like I or really average citizen walks or drives around looking, but Friday for example I was walking out of the bank, thru the parking lot and was admiring a gorgeous very well maintained Cadillac CTS, and as I walked past the drivers side I saw that the tag expired 12/19 lol. Who knows could be like the time I had a critical illness and didn’t drive for several months. The first time I drove my car I got pulled over. Oh it was out BAD. By 14 months. No one in my house noticed either....stuff DOES happen. The officer was very nice, I explained and probably bcuz I was really nice about it he gave me a warning. OH, right, we used to have 2 inside stickers. One for Registration, the other for inspection. This was the first full year after we had switched to the 2 in 1 sticker where we get the car inspected, then show proof of inspection to get the registration. Such a pain. ANYWAY. Yeah, you are right, I don’t drive around with one of those devices that reads license plates lol.

@@valerief1231 im in nc. we dont have inspection stickers anymore. its all done via computer. you get your inspection, it goes to DMV, they send you a registration /tag renewal as well as your property tax amount. you pay all of it at one time and they send you a tag sticker with new registration and then dmv pays the county you live in for your taxes. most of these folks that get towed either didnt get an inspection and or it dont pass so they cant get a tag. check engine light could cost 1000s to fix so they go to a snake oil car lot and pay by the week for another car while the one needing a tag sits. i seen on dude was a car salesman and stored his cars all over the lot until he sold them. slim balls

I don't live in an apt complex, but a suburb just outside Detroit.. even in my own driveway, vehicles must be tagged and operable. City ordinance.. keeps blight and eyesores to a minimum.

Yeah, when I worked to for towing. I would make the people wait, while the guys were rolling in and out of the yard. They would try and sneak through the gate with the tow truck. Not today. But also most of the time they wouldn't be angry with me for long. And they would be waiving once they left. That cracked me up. One yard I also worked for had a guard dog for us. And she didn't like it when people would start yelling, lol she'd jump up on the desk and start barking louder at them. It checked they're attitude real quick knowing they're was a not so happy dog at my disposal.

When you load an automobile without a tag do you get the VIN number that is visible thru the front windshield? and when you get them back to the lot do you have a way to check if the car is wanted? Might of been stolen, BOLO, etc?
