parkrun Research Board seminar: 5K Your Way - How can parkrun help us to Move Against Cancer

This parkrun Research Board seminar explores the health benefits of walking, running and volunteering at parkrun for people affected by cancer. We will discuss research findings from parkrunners who have a cancer diagnosis, asking what inspires them to take part and how they benefit from the parkrun community.
We ask an oncologist why she was inspired to co-found 5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer (an initiative provided by Move charity). 5KYW is a supportive community that inspires and empowers people impacted by cancer to walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer at their local 5KYW group at parkruns across the UK and Ireland on the last Saturday of every month. And we have the pleasure of speaking to two 5K Your Way participants to hear how they’ve used parkrun and 5KYW to Move Against Cancer.
