The way they treated Jerry has always made me uncomfortable. Parks and Rec would have been just as great without one of the characters constantly being bullied (the same goes for Toby on The Office).

Yeah it was always a bit odd to me, one character being arbitrarily bullied for an entire series. But at least -Jerry- -Larry- Gary had an amazing home life to balance it out; no better revenge than a life well lived 😂

And that's the entire point of the joke, which seems to go over people's heads for some reason. The point is that, even though he is constantly being bullied, his personal life is so incredibly amazing that he is completely immune to the bullying to the point that he is so blessed and happy that Jerry cannot even register the bullying properly. You're not supposed to feel bad for him because there is literally no reason to.
