I don't think that it was implied that Chris lied about what he was doing or was being underhanded at any point. I’ve never watched this show, but I’m an assistant manager and watching this clip makes me realize that my management style is a mix of both Ron and Chris. I’m an optimistic pessimist. I show encouragement and enthusiasm when it comes to employee morale, but I’m also very real about every situation and hate when I have to actually put my best foot forward. And it works for me.
