fake...watch carefully the test probes' position... he reversed the polarity on his 1st test that's why there was a low reading...
@SVMSICE11 күн бұрын
@@RoyTee-w4e That doesn't matter, it'll just give a negative reading. Try it with some batteries and you will see you'll get identical readings. I'm not sure if this methods works or not I haven't tried but your logic is incorrect about getting a lower reading if you reverse polarity on volt meter. Just an FYI
@glyncording906610 күн бұрын
@@RoyTee-w4eNo. reverse polarity will make no difference to the actual voltage reading. The only difference with connecting the opposite way will result in a minus reading. I.E. -2.4 volts instead of 2.4 volts.

a safety mechanism that exists because that cell will no longer charge predictably. I do it to cells that I intend to overvolt for lulz. I can't imagine anyone bringing one in their house, let alone holding it to their face after disabling the safety.

@DragonsREpic29 күн бұрын
I dont really know what your talking about. Ive been messing with 18650 cells since 2015 and they rarely if ever have 'protection'. You shouldn't be messing with this safety feature if there is excessive gassing its designed to rupture the weakened wall instead of exploding. Its the best thing as lithium ion cells electrolyte is flammable. If you don't understand batteries you shouldn't be messing with them as lithium metal is extremely reactive with water (but it makes a great battery) and there lit nothing you can do if there on fire as they store a tremendous amount of energy and that energy WILL come out as fire/light/gas fueling itself. There like ppl there sensitive to temperature and if misused will cause a fire. I have literally thousands and not a single one has gave me a problem. It also helps not to be stupid. Life is SO much hard when you are.

I had my 9 month old puppy chew on a single battery meant for those tiny fpv drones and surprise it didn’t blow up on her. I see how easy people stab the batteries to explode and we tied a wood screw to a stick and stabbed a 3.7 silver battery over and over nothing happened I ran over a 4s drone battery with my car just enough to look like tooth paste and it has a full charge when I tested the battery pack which I’m surprised it still works as it sit on my garage still I have rc card that run off 12s 120c 2x6s batteries that have slung and dragged by the car that I tape the metal plates back together and use till this day not a single fire. So I’m will to try this 😅
