Parkside cordless soldering iron PLKA 4 B3 - Must have tool 10+

First of all, I want to say that it is my favorite because of its ease of use, it is always somwhere close to hands and ready to work very quickly, also the price of only a few euros/dollars is very acceptable.
I have several of them for many years and this is the latest model with USB type C connector for charging.
Also when you see that has a 3-year warranty, it's ridiculous.
This tool is not for any serious job, but it is perfect for some quick interventions.
In the package it comes with its stand, a small sponge, a small coil of soldering wire and a USB type C cable.
It's light, it's excellently designed and it fits great in the hand.
Uses a single 18650 lithium battery, working voltage is 4V and 1.5 Ah capacity. Max working temperature is 470 degrees Celsius.
Power it on and you are ready in next 10 secconds.
The manufacturer claims that the working time when fully charged is about 60 minutes, which is not quite correct,
I would rather say about 20 minutes, which is still excellent.

How did you make the tip to hold the melted solder wire? Did you treated it with some chemicals? When I use mine, it just melts and fall off like small balls and does not hold on the tip and I couldn't solder anything.

Hi, u need to use high grade solder wire. You probably have a soldering wire that is not of good quality and has no flux in it. Try to use better soldering wire or flux soldering paste. Then you won't have any problems.

Use soldering resin / paste and if your tip is black ( oxidized) you need to clean it with water soaked soldering sponge and if that doesn't help then with fine copper mesh. If you can't find copper mesh, use 00 fine steel wool and be gentle when cleaning so you don't remove coating that is on the tip. Every time I use any soldering iron I let it heat up and clean the tip on wet sponge and apply fresh solder. I use resin core solder so it cleans itself from tiny layer of oxides.

@@electro_solar Hi, thanks for the pieces of advice. I use solder wire Cynel, which is high quality solder wire. I assume that the problem is in the oxidation of the tip.

i just got one it wouldn't charge at all left plugged in for three days took it apart and tested everything with my meter plugged the little Borad back up inside of it now its charging we shall see how it works
