Great video, thank you. I've had my 350 A1 for about 18 months and its always frustrated me that i couldn't cut a straight line, it did exactly what you said. So, i took your advice and ordered a new blade off of Amazon and it was delivered the next day. Its actually the same one you showed in the video. Now, it cuts as straight an arrow every time. Really pleased with the saw now.

Cracking video. I’ve been banging my head off the workshop wall trying to figure out why my blade kept falling off but I think your video really helped. Cheers.

I bought a wider blade, as the one supplied is great for scrolling work, but drifts on thicker woods. Gives great cuts now.

Good to hear and that’s a good point.. I’m thinking of upgrading the bandsaw soon, but this parkside is real value for money , cheers Rob

There's not much wrong with that little fellah. I have a few Parkside tools and they might not be the highest build quality they're certainly perfectly serviceable. The main thing with any of these tools is not to scrimp on the consumables - good blades, good bits and what not. Incidentally Tuff Saws is an excellent crew for bandsaw blades. Your blade position on the wheel tyre looked perfect to me. Cheers Rob, that was fun.

Grreat video Rob, new to your channel and really wanna get myself a small bandsaw like this Quick obsevation on the vids try to level out the sound between voice and music sections, have to turn up the narration to hear and then get a big surprise when the music cuts in like the workshop tour 👍😁 well done some great vids and I am green with envy at your layout and workspace too 👍👍

Great video. Just purchased the Parkside PBS 350 B2 at Lidl this weekend past, and seems to be pretty identical to the PBS 350 A1. So your tips and guidance was suited to the B2 also. I would also like to install a thinner blade for more detailed cuts, but didn't read in the manual you could make this change. I think for beginners, showing you mount the saw table onto the unit would have been good. As the instructions are pretty crap in the manual.

Thanks for watching and glad it helped a little, I agree instructions aren’t that good , cheers Rob

I was on the lookout for one of these but I had to stop going into Lidl and ALDI BCOS i WAS BUYING STUFF i NEVER NEEDED. D'ya know how many sets of sanding belts I have bought over the past 2 yrs.. haha! Drill bits, odd tools, belt sanders, angle grinders, welders, spray paint in cans, Lidl brand wd40, the list goes on and on and on, and on and on.. I want a bandsaw but I think one of the saws from AUK would be a much better investment with the cast iron table on them. Their smallest is 310 euros. The next size up is just over 550 euros which is decent. These are ok but I won't be buying one even for a hobbyist like me mate. That's a real nice shop u have there. U call yourself a weekend Shed Head but ur workshop looks really professional to me. I would love to have a shop that size just so I wouldn't feel so cramped in my one ca garage. It's a nightmare with all the tools I have accumilated over the last 2 years. I kinda fell in woodworking but I've recently developed a real liking for Hand tools - Planes, hand saws, chisels, etc. Sorry for waffling on here. I get carried away talking about my tool collection nowadays. I never owned tools like this until I nearly turned 50. I had no interest but now I can't get enough. haha! Keep up he great content. I sub'd and liked today. Best of luck man..

A good thorough review Rob. As a follow on to the suggestion sitting it on erasers.... the pound shops sell a card of different size circular rubber pads that are self adhesive. stack a couple of these under each corner of the base and that may help out... Nice one mate 👍 🌻Nigel.............MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻

Excellent video thanks for making it - what would you say is the real maximum cutting height? You mention they recommend 80mm but can go further… :) They’re coming to Lidl this week and I am thinking about getting one!

Many thanks for watching mate, at a real push 85mm.. but even that might be a squeeze, cheers Rob

Hello Reg, I really couldn’t say if it’s safe or not, it does say in the manual what it’s maximum is ( I can’t remember what it is) I have been using a 12mm and upto now it’s been ok. Sorry I can’t be more helpful, have fun with yours, cheers Rob

@@WeekendShedHead I just received the B2 version and I'm not entirely happy with it. for some reason the blade creeps forward on the wheels. the table is improved, but I don't like the fence at all. They also seem to have changed manufacturers, my model comes from Grizzlytools

Hi Rob Just started my parkside PBS 350 A1 up after months of no use, unfortunately without resetting the tensions, & almost immediately the rubber band on the lower 'drive wheel' came off with a hell of a bang! The blade is fine & intact though & the band undamaged. I put it all back together & reset the tensions etc, but the same keeps happening, after only a few seconds, even if the saw is left running without actually cutting anything. The rubber on the top roller looks like it's glued on & I'm wondering if should attempt to glue the rubber band on to the lower roller? Can anyone advise please? Many thanks for any advice! Ian.
@WeekendShedHead2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ian, very interesting question.. and one that I would like to know the answer to.. i bet the bang was huge !! I wonder if anyone else can advise, cheers Rob
@ipinfold2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rob Well I bit the bullet & glued it back on! Pushed it firmly in place around the wheel & left it overnight. Not only is it absolutely fine, but it feels better to me now! I think it must have been moving for some it! Chuffed with the result!
