I can see some signs being lasered with led lights behind them coming up. I have a little 5w laser I've had for a couple of years brilliant bit of kit. The hardest part was learning light burn in the beginning but such a big program still learning. So much information on you tube at your fingertips now days though. By the way how is Mark going with his piles. Steve

Once again…a great ‘no nonsense’ vlog for the set up of a great piece of kit! I’ve been using a Sculpfun laser for just over a year and they’re great for template making! With care you can cut anything including card and paper! In fact I’ve seen several Pinterest ideas for burning logo designs onto coir door mats!! I’d recommend air assist and low power though! Enjoy …it’s a great underrated workshop tool! 👍👍👍

And i love your approach of doing it off the bat and not getting saturated with advice from others (its the absolute best way to learn). Great video Rob. Now, I have a question. That camera… It’s being used to position the engraving on the workpiece. Could you drop a spanner on a piece of material, & trace around it in Lightburn? Like to make a cutout in Kaizan foam, or plywood to make inserts for a toolbox drawer?

Great news on the free tool! I hope you have hours of fun with it, and don't blame you for taking it and making content/thingamajigs with it... However, I came to the channel for the cheap and accessible tools, and this is far from it. There are a million and one channels out there that only buy the most expensive tools that only someone with an acre of land and an airplane hanger could possibly afford. So I will skip this video personally. Please don't take this comment the wrong way, I don't blame you for doing it.... I will just wait for the videos that I subscribed for. Cheap tools, and shed bodging. Love the channel, keep it up

The Works is normally where I grab batteries, 8 panasonic for a pound. Wife is obsessed with the Christmas lights so goes through them like there is no tomorrow. I did buy the elastic stuff at our local independant discount. I cannot remember what I used it for in the end. The fact I have not found anything fallen off or leaking, then it must have worked. 😂 Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Rob, it takes getting used to the fact that it's not all £1, I still walk round thinking blimey that's a bargain then look at the price - Doh ! Tbh beef they put the prices up it was getting a bit silly with the shrink-flation - smaller and smaller packs of everything - a few years ago you could get 8 tubes of CA glue for £1 ! You've got to remember to compare like with like with the batteries as those Kodak are Alkaline, I don't think the Panasonic were ( Zinc ? ) and don't you think 9 is a funny number for a pack !
