Great video! just one tip Never drive a wheel bolt directly with an impact wrench! Always thread it by hand a turn or two before going for it with the power tool. 90% of the time it will be okay, but the other 10% you will hate your existance :D
@Ronick-Q-46 Жыл бұрын
That made me cringe when put wheel stud straight in with gun, that's a definite no no.
@imnota Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure you guys understand this has variable trigger, meaning if you're just barely pressing it, there is no force and the slightest resistance will stall the motor. Meaning if you're not an idiot and using the trigger properly it physically cannot crossthread because it doesn't have the strength. Worse case scenario it turns like a quarter of a thread, get stuck, you reverse, and go back in and nothing happened.
@Ronick-Q-46 Жыл бұрын
@@imnota Still a no no in my book screw all the way by hand and then torque, be assured this guy does know about power tools with variable triggers, I do have one or two myself, you said it yourself it can get stuck on a thread, that's my point you would feel that was going to happen by hand, your way is definitely not my way.

I bought it recently and...I cannot recommend it. At least not for task like wheel changing. It can bearly losen wheel bolts in Opel Astra (so rather a small car). It really needs some time to do that, one can see that this task is a chalange for this tool (bolts tightened for 130Nm). I am using 4ah battery. In my opinion, it does not have the mentioned 300Nm. So for smaller tasks, why not, it is lightweith and small, but for bigger bolts it is better to look something with 18/20V. I have Milwaukee mentioned here in the video and few other 18V impact wrenches, Parkside is weakest of them all for sure, but also the cheapest. Maybe it is not a bad tool (cannot judge already as I only have it for a week now), but for sure it is not suitable for more demanding tasks.

Bought the 3/8 and 1/2 Stubby kit. The 3/8 Actually hits harder than the 1/2 when I put a 3/8 to 1/2 adaptor so I mainly use the 3/8 for everything. I use a 6.0 and the newer 2.5 High Output torpedo battery. BTW the hammer mechanism on the Parkside is larger than the Milwaukee so it should have made more power 🤷♂️. Pretty sure if they drop a better brushless motor it would be a different story👍🏻

get an impact driver if you need it, it hammers down and left/right, impact wrench just impacts left or right, and the adapters will make you go mad over time... , and if you need a drill, get a drill, you can use a drill to screw down stuff, but impact drivers need special bits to drill as drill bits dont like being impacted

by now it is clear, that milwaukee uses same components (ike motors etc) as on parkside, this was already shown in lots of videos etc. they maybe build bigger hammer in head compartment and use less battery protections, that's about it. if you want quality, ergonomically designed, long lasting products, i would use other brands ( and i do) or just go with parkside, for probably less than half of money spent.
