They have certainly come a lot further than this music wise, but even this sounds better than a lot of other bands. The reason why I listen to Parkway so much and why I struggle sometimes to listen to different bands is because Parkway were the first band of this style I ever heard. They have always sounded a lot rawer and more brutal than a lot of artists which is why they are my favourite band and will probably always will be.

Never Forget Belgium H8000 & German Metalcore god... before 2005... Liar, Congress, Length Of Time, all the goodlife records, and Caliban, saw Them around 1995... with Heaven Shall Burn, after x-Maroon-x... this is European finnest Metalcore... Arkangel or French legend Kickback (its more negative hardcore than metalcore...) for négative vibe hardcore / Metalcore... this guys rules the world ! No scrap clear voice sound... the clear chorus kill this kind of music... sadly... Caliban first... but to their debut to 2005 this band was amazing...

Wow, this is better than I expected. Definitely comparable to the metalcore sound at the time. A ton of bands were doing this very thing, and I think that's why so many of them decided to change their sound sooner rather than later. Nonetheless, Killing with a Smile is still my jam.
