George you got it on the nose tbh, "homogenized and commericial/cheesy" that's kinda what this era of parkway drive and forward seemed to be. I highly suggest to go back to them on an older song. Anything big from Atlas or older I'd say check out. Unfortunately after Atlas they went for a more commercialized sound and they just didnt age well. If you wanna go more into metalcore, check out Unearth. They were kind of one of the pioneers of the subgenre

I’d kill to see an unearth reaction

Ya it's disappointing there's so few requests for Unearth. They're the real deal. They gotta do Zombie Autopilot or The Swarm.

Interesting what you think about OLD Parkway. good songs include: Carrion, Romance is Dead, Don't Close Your Eyes, Unrest

The only redeeming quality besides a positive message is the lead guitar, which I find strange that neither of you mentioned.

React to “dark days” by these guys. This song is their radio friendly song, not their best!

they already reacted to that, but the video is not up

If you guys want more metalcore, please please please react to some While She Sleeps! 'Hurricane', 'Back of my Mind', or 'Anti-Social' for example. You could also listen to some Architects, Wage War, Hacktivist, etc.

This is definitely their more "homogenized" version of themselves. I implore you to check out any song off of their first 3 albums for a good representation of why people do love this band so much.

If you wanna listen to some good metalcore list to August Burns Red My personal favorite band is Architects, they're metalcore but they're a little different lol, pls listen to These Colours Don't Run by Architects

Love your videos, guys! Just a suggestion: Why don't you do reaction videos of metal bands per country? You can do it alphabetically, one per month (Argentina, Armenia, [----] Zimbabwe...) That would be cool. And maybe it would help to catch more followers from all over the world. Greetings from Costa Rica!

Not Parkway's best music, but still an INCREDIBLE band. They have SO MUCH GOOD MUSIC.
@SerenityChaos19755 жыл бұрын
It was definitely written to be a type of anthem to play live in big venues, they are a fun band to see live. Their previous album was very dark and IRE was more fun and positive, some fans hate the album but I love everything they have released. Thanks for checking them out!

R. Nashoba I just don’t think they will ever do any more Pantera. They did Walk and that was over a year ago, maybe more. I think the claims of Phil being racist really turned them off the band
@R.Nashoba5 жыл бұрын
@@robdurfee6861 Pantera isnt just Phil... its the Abbott brothers, (RIP) No matter what accusations have been put to the masses... the music is the art of 4 kick ass musicians that changed metal forever, if you choose to get wrapped up in the political/personal BS side... you're only but causing unwanted drama for yourself! It is and always will be about the music.

August Burns Red any day of the week for this genre!!! A non-homogeneous song with a good message you say? I give you “Identity”, or Beauty in Tragedy, or Salt & Light, or Provision, A Shot Below the Belt, Marianas Trench... better yet, just put their song list on a dart board

People just complain! Haha. ....Just keep doin’ YOU! Great job. I love PWD. This song is like a “cheer” and comes under scrutiny from “hardcore “ fans. It IS a great way, however, to integrate a female fan base and also great for an audience participation song. (And you pointed out that not every song has to be about death and destruction... its ok to be inspirational as well) GREAT take on the song, GREAT reaction, GREAT channel. Liked & subscribed!🤘😝🤘

You must see parkway drive, dark days is amazing, horizons is a good track, wild eyes, sleepwalker, but dark days is brutal. Good work guys, your channel is 10 stars.

Totally agree with George on this one. As a long time metalcore fan, I could never really get into parkway drive, much less this song/album. Really basic, boring, safe, and corny tbh.

Not on killing with a smile & horizons. This is their worst song.

I love PWD, I think Horizons and Deep Blue are about as good as metalcore gets, and I 100% agree with everything George said.

I don't think it's as simple as old vs new. I actually enjoyed Reverence, but I thought Ire was mediocre at best. Even if I had to pick from Ire, I'd pick Crushed or Bottom Feeder.
