India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar on Tuesday briefed an all-party meeting in the Parliament on the ongoing political crisis in Bangladesh. He is expected to make a statement on the matter in Rajya Sabha today. This comes a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a cabinet meeting to discuss the situation in Bangladesh. On the same day, Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was ousted. Anti-quota protests in the country turned into a mass uprising against PM Hasina, which eventually led to the collapse of her government.
