Appreciated Permish’s view on mental health for men. Too many women see adversity through a shared lens for men and women. A man’s journey and struggle is what turns him from a boy to a man. As Permish rightly said, life is a struggle. As women I think we have a hard time understanding and out instinct is to coddle the males closest to us, not understanding that this stifles a natural progression into manhood. Mental health is real, but we need parameters around it.

Also, as far as the emotions for men, yes they are contained. I think we really need to think about what a man that can’t contain his emotions actually looks like? Emotions need to be channeled, but not necessarily shown or acted upon, as they are in women. It’s a deeper topic and it starts with the baseline that men and women process life differently and that it’s a different experience for both genders.
