Chris, try mixing the tuna in the jar with the liquid in it instead of pouring it out. It will make the tuna much more moist flavorful. Great video with Matt and Daniel as a bonus, good job on finding Albacore in local waters.
@ChrisPfish23 ай бұрын
thanks for watching. I probably wont mix the liquid in, I would think that makes it more fishy tasting? I generally pour it on the dry dog food for there treat.

I know everyone already know this, but just in case. After removing the jars from the canner, place them on a towel to cool. The lids are not completely sealed, yet. While they are cooling you will hear the lids "Pop". Once completely cool then press on the lids. You should not hear any "Clicking" sounds. Only then do you know your canning is safe to store.
@ChrisPfish23 ай бұрын
cool thanks for the tips. Will go check if any click

If you are running the Reactor40 try the 15 min or 10 min circle pattern once you find the fish. One of the group was smart enough to figure that out this year and it’s been a game changer. Great video!

Great video as always...consider moving the cooler out of the way. Keep it up towards the front of the boat...a couple times you guys stumbled into it. Just to be safe.

Very nice. Try dropping a 5 inch anchovy color hammer right after the troll gets bit. This is how we used to do it in SD when the Albies were down here.

You installed an autopilot! Isn't it the best thing ever for those long runs and trolling? I kept asking myself if it would be worth it and after I got it I can't even imagine fishing without it again
@ChrisPfish23 ай бұрын
yeah i totally agree. i dont even touch the steering wheel out there. 10 degrees at a time makes for perfect turns without lines tangling. Then when your hooked up you can go 2-3mph and heading hold just keeps everything perfectly straight.

Awesome day! Just out of curiosity, what kind of range are you getting with your Honda 250? I've also got a 25' NR with 110 gal tank but never tested the full range.
@ChrisPfish23 ай бұрын
we were on the water for 9-10 hours. out 40 miles or so. used like 65 gallons. factor in weight, that matters a lot. 6 people vs 3 people. there size.
@TheGordox103 ай бұрын
@@ChrisPfish2 Thanks for the response. So you probably did well over 100 miles that day then on the 65 gallons. Good to know. Thanks Chris!

Can't you sgrinkwrap n freeze albacore?
@ChrisPfish23 ай бұрын
yeah of course. your thinking that is better than canned albacore?
@OntheHook553 ай бұрын
That’s how we take care of ours..make sure to cut the fillets into serving size pieces..also, you can prefreeze the fillets if you have freezer space, or wrap the pieces in cellophane prior to vacuum sealing them..this prevents the vacuum sealer from drawing the moisture out of the fillets, and compromising the seal on the package…I do this with Salmon fillets as well

you clearly don't need the cash my dude, quit with the lame ass commercials.
@ChrisPfish23 ай бұрын
This is how I make money. I didnt spend 15 hours a video with 200 videos to not take the opportunity to be able to get paid and try and support my family doing something I enjoy. The sponsors pay double or triple what you get from youtube on a single video. You should see the things I turn down. When its something that i think is good and my audience might like it i go for it. Ask yourself if you would turn down the cash? You shouldnt expect content creators to do it for free. Commercials suck I get it, but hopefully you understand. Thanks for watching
