Back in the late 70s my dad took my brother and I on a comercial fishing boat out of morrow bay ca. We caught what they called rock cod, 6 hooks on the line, you would bring up 4 or 5 on each reel up, thier eyes and stomach would be protruding out from the pressure difference, we had a gunny sac full of fish, now my parents live in s.e alaska , im stuck here in idaho, we catch salmon halibut and Dungeness crab, I really like your videos wish I was there with you, hope you have a big crab cook off

@vitaliyshostak88124 жыл бұрын
Hey! Im new to the ocean but I have 5 crab pots and love rock/ling fishing. I know i need to find sandy bottoms for my crab pots, but do you have any suggestions on looking for rockfish grounds/reef/structure? I only went out once and it seemed like all i could find was sandy bottoms and i wasnt getting any rockfish bites all day. ended up hitting a submerged rock and getting towed back. boat is finally ready to go out but im not sure what to look for to find rocky bottoms. Thank you man and i enjoy your videos, always looks like good times!
