The way that this show uses terms like "filly", "colt", "foal", etc is sometimes really bothersome. The one that stands out for me is Cadence and Shining Armor's wedding where Celestia calls them "Mare and colt". NO CELESTIA. It's "mare and _stallion_ " a colt is like a young boy!

It seems like whenever there’s a huge event in a MLP episode, the episode never focuses on it and instead focuses on one specific mane character. This season had a lot of those episodes, Inspiration Manifestation, Friendship Games, Three’s a Crowd, Simple Ways, Filli Vanilli… Friendship Games was the biggest disappointment due to how hyped up the Friendship Games was only for it to be a generic Spike episode. It was a pretty good episode, but the issue is we were all so excited to see the Games, basically the Pony Olympics, but it was just a Spike episode. It would have worked better if it was a story arc consisting of many episodes which focused on different characters during the events of the Games, or even a movie. Then they could have extended the story and not have had to contain it in just one episode. Heck, maybe it could have been the season finale considering how it’d been prepared for two seasons.
