Yeah, even once she revealed she was in costume she never alluded to or it was shown she was wearing contacts. I think she still had minute traces of vampirism, but by and by they did cleverly write this scene as an open-ended way for fans to further interpret the final scene of Bats!! as they wish, either as a gag, or something more like I do.

The headless horseman/Pony costume works by having a very, very large collar that encircles your entire head. From the outside, the collar looks to be part of the jacket/overcoat and that you have no head, when your head is safely inside the collar. It does make it hard to see, though.

Not in a rude way, but after a closer look, you can see that the horn is made from a Tp roll and the wings have way more depth than the cartoon wings. Why do I say it's derpy tho? Pay attention to the hair underneath the twilight Sparkle wig. It's yellow, like derpy. The fur coat on the pony is also gray, and if you look even closer you can see derpy's yellow orange eye-color. But why do I care this much to post a paragraph long comment? It upset me slightly that such a misteak was made and Derpy's Princess Twilight Sparkle cosplay went unrecognised. She put effort into it and you can tell. Gotta love the derp derp.

Here's another sin for you. Most, if not all of Fluttershy's fears that she mentions at Sugarcube Corner makes it sound like she doesn't trust her friends to be there and help her during these times. "If I'm blindfolded and somepony were to leap out in front of me, I'd never have the chance to defend myself." Surrounded by 5 friends who could easily spot the danger and defend her. "What happens if when my head is deep down in the water some kind of scary monster appears, how would I even hear to know I was under attack?" One, she'd feel it. Two, 5 friends watching her back. "My mouth becomes glued shut and I can't scream for help." That one might be valid if she strayed far from her friends.

I like this episode and Filli Vanilli because it is different then so many other pieces of media that make the story all about the introvert becoming “normal” and unintroverted. These two episodes show that you don’t have to “fix” your shy characters. They can overcome some of their social anxiety, or become more open with certain people, but still not be outgoing all of a sudden
