One thing that really bugs me, wasn't Dash an old friend of Gilda before she meets Twi and pals? In which case her abandoning Gilda completely just for rude behavior against her new friends seems like an act of betrayal, or least overreacting to the problem. Now that we know Griffons are not the best at socializing, i wonder how Gilda felt after that day. Her "best" friend dumping her to go off with someone else. If i remember correctly, she did stomp off on her own at the end of the episode, but still, must have been painful.

I know this is an old comment, but I don't think Gilda being an older friend of Rainbow has any relevancy. If I present an old friend to my new friends and that old friend is being a bully, I'm gonna get angry at that friend. Gilda didn't apologize to Fluttershy or Pinkie for what she did, she left because she felt betrayed but she was bullying. Think about it from Fluttershy's perspective, Rainbow brings a new friend that treats her horribly and Rainbow just says "She was my friend before you, so she comes first." I always thought that the lesson of that episode was calling out awful behavior even if that behavior comes from your friends. And if they refuse to see the wrong of their actions, there's nothing wrong with leaving them, especially if they hurt others.
