All of this movements were a manifest against society and they all tried to rupture the social relationships: everyone in its own way. That explains the masks, I would say. This song is best listened to after “before the water gets to high,” “Mardi Gras beads,” “almost had to start a fight” in that order. You complete the series with “normalization.” It’s just the order of the album, but it’s arranged so well that these songs all compliment each other and make a good succession of music.
