Great eclectic selection.R E M, The Bee Gees( before they went disco),Karl Heinz Stockhausen, and Lightnin Hopkins among many others makes for a great party mix. No wonder I enjoy their music so much-they draw from such great and diverse sources.

People commenting saying 'awful try hard taste' of course they're trying hard they're gonna be interviewed on what music inspires them and influences their music. And what even defines a hipster these days, that word gets used way too much these days, its fucking 2014 styles and trends change, genres develop, keep up and get over it!

Both records are Strokes records. The one on the left is "First Impressions of Earth." The yellow and blue on the right is the alternate cover for "Is This It." You might be more familiar with the original cover with the black glove on the woman's backside. Both covers are technically official and band approved.

i guess im just getting old....Its guys like this that turn me off new band scenes. They like everything Malkmus likes. They have the hipster, artfully disheveled hair dos. The lingo. The stonery voices. They prolly thought long and hard the night before about what kind of artists they would pick out so as to come off in the way they wish to be percieved. Liking "the right bands" is lame. The 3rd guy who liked The Bee Gees is the only one who seemed not SO pretentious. For someone who did this "Whats in my Bag" well, see Moby and Fred Armisten. Sincere. Not trying. More mature and comfy in their own skin, perhaps. These kids are young. I forget sometimes.

Yeah you're getting old man. A lot of new bands are great and Parquet Courts are no exception.
