I'm sure the mavic and phantom are better and for the price difference they should be but i have been nothing but impressed with this bebop the more i see the more i like it. people wanna bash the camera of the bebop to me i am more than pleased with the camera on this drone. most people aren't making feature movies with these drones anyway i don't need 5k quality video i just need clear and stable and this drone does that and does it well. i used to think a drone had to have a gimbal to have any video possibilities whosoever but the bebop proved me wrong i never gave this one much thought since it didn't have one well you proved it doesn't need one because that's much better than alot of 3 axis ive seen and better than all the 2 axis ive seen. selling on amazon refurbished for 300 I'm getting myself this bad boy.

Thanks. It will go 2 miles range limit in the country and not around wifi interference. Parrot needs to work on a better camera and it will be almost perfect :)

Maybe you were connected to the tablet and not the Sc1. There is an option in wifi to connect to it. Great vid..always learn so much.

Have you ever loss one or more of your propellers on your bebop 2 drone? I HAVE SEVERAL TIME! Usually on a hard landing. It is frustrating and shouldn't happen but it does. Well here is the product that is a solution to preventing that from happening again. These Bebop 2 Propeller Plugs are easy to install and works great. Just using your figures, mainly your tum, press Bebop 2 Propeller Plugs into the larger propeller holes. They lock the propellers in place and will not let them unlock. I haven't loss a propeller since installing the Bebop 2 Propeller Plugs. You can find them on ebay, just search for “bebop 2 propeller plug”.

I've had the exact same experience you did in this video with drone at distance losing signal, returning home but not gaining a signal, so I don't think the goggles were at fault. I have had to restart the app and connect to the Bebop on the tablet (as the skycontoller won't connect) to land the drake once it has returned home.

My Headplay HD works great with my BB2 and skycontroller but the Sony HMZ-T3 goggles are the best by far and aspect ratio is perfect for Bebop2

Just a tip...try to upgrade the skycontroler with sky boost 2.4 or better 5.8Ghz booster..you will be immpresed where's the limits of it...(from 2km original to 6km with it,without any signal problem)..try it,it is worth it ;)

Hey mate Happy New Year. I managed to get myself the bebop 1 and flight plan with sky controller and love it. Going to get bebop 2 later in year. I have crashed smashed and beaten my drone and it just won't die. Anyway can you conection a phone to the skycontroller 1, big one, via hdmi to use fpv goggles? Also how to you get such good video from your drone flights at long distance? I conection to skycontroller and don't seem to get video more then 150 meters away. Yet as it's from skycontroller shouldn't it give video as far as controller has conection. Still loving your videos. You've got me into flying proper drones. My son got a Phantom 3 standard and I've got mine so fun with the family. also any ideas of any good mods for the bebop 1. Kind regards Gus

+Angus Whitehouse congrats Gus and happy new year back at you. Get a set of FPV goggles or a tablet that has HDMI in. Other option is ton fanagle some sort of adapter to your phone but I'm not sure on that. Or just get the skycontroller2 which is meant to connect directly to a phone or tablet but be sure to make sure it works with BEBOP 1. As for range..Make sure your phone is connected to skycontroller and skycontroller to bebop. It is possible your not connected correctly. I've seen some mods on YT but have not attempted any yet for my Bebop2. Happy flying :)

I have one question, do you recommend the Bebop 2 or the Phantom 3 Standard, I'm looking into buying a drone that is reliable and easy to fly since I don't fly drones much and this would be my first, I know about FAA Registration at least for my state (Washington) and I think I am ready to go for one of the big guys, (Bebop 2, Phantom, etc.) which one do you think would be better for a beginner? +SLOPPY1001 Thanks. Good question. I think I know what happened here. The entire video (all sources) looks less clear than my other vids. This was due to using an action cam stabilization feature in my video editing software. I was trying to use it only for the fast forward setup clip but apparently it made the entire video a lower resolution. Lesson learned. I won't be using, or at least be more careful with this tool. You can see how my other videos are overall more clear. Sorry about the hiccup. I'm a little disappointed myself that I did not check and catch this after processing.

Thanks for the review. With all those controls and screens and googles and cameras, I'm not surprised you had some incidents. A few points: 1) to calculate MPH from m/s: 15m/s x 3.28 x 60 x 60 / 5280 ... so your Bebop was going 33.5 mph .. not 45mph. 2) as for your speculation that a 'Phantom' would have severely damaged itself (in your crash scenario) ... I would opine that the Phantom's VPS (visual positioning system with sonic sensors and cameras) would NOT have failed like the Bebops did. 3) the "interpolated" video from the Bebop is rather poor; in order to stabilize it (with no gimbal), all resolution is lost and it appears to be 480P video 4) the gimicky tablet control is something I'd expect for a low cost nano .. not for a bird in this price range. As for "programmed flight", there is also an APP for DJI craft called "Litchi", which does far more than you can do with the built in DJI programmed features (which is quite a lot actually). 5) the flight time wasn't 20 minutes as you mentioned (unless there were massive edits), as you lifted off at about 3:30 into your review, and auto landed about 18:30. Not nitpicking, but just "keeping it real". I appreciate your review efforts of this (and other) quads, as its a valuable service to those considering laying out "the long green" for one of these pricey birds. Mahalo !

These were all done with a constant hover in my back yard one after the other with a 10min cool down for bebop in between flights: 2700mah = 24mins 3100mah = 25.5mins 2700Mah = 24mins

Well, that looks better. I remember your earlier flight and it had good flight time, which was why I didn't understand the seemingly shorter time this time around. The P4 will be interesting, even though I've seen numerous reviews on it already. Just don't try to test its obstacle avoidance system by flying it at a cyclone fence like I saw another reviewer do .. that fence is 99% air, so it didn't register and they flew it into the fence at about 35 mph. It's a much better machine than the H501s. Way more tech here. That's a good deal for the new package parrot is including with the new skycontroller and VR goggles. Worth it IMO. I really like the Bebop2 just won't compete camera wise with the phantom line.

The HDMI lets you see the telemetry where as you wouldn't have it with the goggles running independently. If bees attacked, they will definitely BE BOPed. HAR D HAR HAR HAR. Great quad, Great goggles, great vireo.

+MidoTV Adventure They have improved it even more since this review. You can control with only phone if you want but range is very limited. Much better with sky controller 😁
