Ok, so I recently bought this drone and have been reviewing these tutorials, and I have to say, I wish these videos gave a more clear demonstration as to how to perform these functions.

Lost connection as soon as it got a metre off the ground, the drone went off on a tangent and crashed into some bushes on the other side of the field. I was very lucky I didn't lose my drone and am very disappointed. My Bebop was calibrated, I was controlling it with a compatible smartphone.

Instead of using the tablet touch screen, is it possible to connect a bluetooth gamepad to use as a controller? This will be useful as the skycontroller looks cool but too bulky for travel.

The main reason why people buy the sky controller is because of the ease of use... and the range extender (regular range is 200m, and with controller is 2km) Also the sky controller has a easy portable system where you can fold it up. I'm not sure you can do the blue tooth thing, but i do really recommend the controller.

If there's no native controller support, you can work around by using an app that emulates touch controls. I use a PS3 controller on my android and the app that supports the dualshock controller for the android does a real good job translating my pad inputs into touch controls i want to do when there is no native controller support for apps/games i want to use my pad for.

Jin Kim bryan park Remember that you only have 12 mins flight time per battery, so having a massively expensive controller that gives you 2km is not practical. I am sure you can reach 2km in less than five minutes if you pitch it correctly but at that distance, we do not know if this is for line of sight control. This quad is made for city flying, 200 meters is probably the best bet. Sky controllers are only for the CIA when they want to spy on someone far away. :-)

Will there be a way to set a return home feature once the battery reaches 5% or so so you can be sure to always get the drone back. Also How does the wifi signal work? does there need to be a internet wifi connection or is it just using that frequency?

It follows your wi-fi if you're in range. It will try to get back to you or follow a pre-planned route when out of range, using a GPS map if you set one. But if the blighter is out of juice (it should warn you for if you're flying freehand) it will gently land wherever it is. Possibly in dog poo or on an old man's head.

the weaker the wifi signal, the laggier the fpv is going to be. When the Drone is out of range, its going to hover in one place and after 120 seconds (2 minutes) the drone is automatically going to go back to the place where it took of.

the drone can take photos at a RAW 14 mp photo and then bring it down into a 2 mp jpg

Parrot im having issues with my drone, every time i take off, the drone just sky rocket, im settinng it for hull indoor flying and .5m max altitude setting but it just whatever it wants. What is going on? I have the latest update .1.98.10 till today.

When I try connect to my drone I do it through the app because I have a sky controller but when I click to connect to my drone it just goes out of it and doesn't connect

Has anyone got there bebop 2 drone and on take off watch it come up about a half in then flip over on its back. I get an motor error. When i touch the auto take off my motors seem to be screaming full tilt and I don't know if there is something I'm not doing. As a result I'm drone-less....SO SAD

+Elmo Di Calro there are a couple different ways to control this. if you use joypad mode you get another pad to go forward/backwards or you can use the normal mode and use the accelerometer and tilt your device by holding your thumb on the screen and moving in the respective direction.

***** ace lets you control the camera withh your right thumb, normal is the default flight and joypad lets you control forward reverse and strife left/right with your right thumb (like a standard flight stick)

It's perhaps the worst drone I have ever bought. Even compared against cheapy plastic ones made by Syma. The batteries never fully charge. If they do they deplete mid-flight. Complaining meant calls to a French call center who sent me vouchers to buy batteries of about the same standard. First time I used flight plan the drone shot off about 300mtr to the left of where I planned the start point. Only just landing shy of a river. It's a cool drone in terms of video quality but fck me, it's like a flitting helium balloon. Ignore any 'automatic return' or 'automatic control' B.S!
