I ❤ the parrotlet content. Harri (you knew she was a girl) has finally moved into a cage with Luna, my second bird. It took 9 months and a major cage cleaning and rearranging the interior but they are doing better together than apart. I looked at your parrotlet flock for inspiration and took tips from talkparrotlets forums. Very affectionate birds they both are.

Such precious birds. I love baby birds! I agree about females being more affectionate and males being better talkers. I said that recently and then one of my females started repeating everything her male flock mates say! So, as they say, nothing is written in stone. I love that parrotlets are giant birds in tiny bodies.😊

Parrotlets are cute little birds, can they be put with budgies and other smaller birds?

Unfortunately, no. They are too aggressive with them. I’m sure there are exceptions, but generally speaking I would not trust this.

Hi Kaylyn. I have male/female parrotlets that I have been able to keep from breeding/nesting with success by having different night vs day cage and other preventions. I got to comfortable and my female laid. Thought i caught all eggs but 1 slipped through & was over a week fertile when i realized so i let them have it. It has hatched & they are great parents. What is the chance if I keep babe they can coexist peacefully? I would separate baby when fledged.
