I recall that when they first introduced parrots, they were tameable with cookies and not seeds. When the community pointed out that cookies are deadly for parrots, they changed that in the game I've recently picked up Minecraft for PS Vita again, found some parrots and was like "Hmm, I wonder if they're tameable with cookies or something else on this version?" It weren't cookies :(

It probably just lists all the items from a list of items that can be used to interact with the parrot. Seeds are used to tame them, you can leash them with a lead and killing your pet with a poisonous food is arguably also an interaction. Probably not the one you want but.... ah well.

Thanks to Mario, Over the Hedge, and probably several other things, there was a disturbing number of veterinary cases of people trying to pry the turtle's shell off their back, thinking it's detachable (spoiler alert: a turtle's shell is LITERALLY ITS SPINE. @@BetaDude40 When it comes to the Torso of a turtle/tortoise the shell is the entirety of their skeleton. It's not the equivalent to "just" ripping out the spine, which would be horrifying enough. For a human the equivalent would be to rip out every single bone of their torso, meaning the only parts that would be left with skeletal structure would be the arms, legs and the head.

It's a bit tricky to put it on, as they get scared *very* easily, and if something goes wrong, they'll remember their fear for a long time. Most vests have special mount for the leash which has to be very elastic - you don't want your birb to be stopped mid-air.

I think this is happening because however google is getting this information, it's getting all the items that have a special interaction with the parot. And if you look at it that way, it's true. Using seeds on most mobs doesn't do anything, a parot is the only mob to my knowledge that has an interaction with the cookie, and usually only passive mobs can have a lead attached to them.

I had a hilariously bad experience the first time I ran into a parrot in Minecraft Back a few years ago when I got back into playing Minecraft, I was adjusting to all the new updates I missed out on, and was trying to find a parrot to tame on the survival server I joined. Well, I found one eventually, and was wondering what I could feed it to tame it. Why I didn't just google it is something I'll never know. Anyways, I was curious, and decided to try and feed the parrot the food I currently had on me. Which were cookies. And so I scrolled through my hotbar, landed on the cookies, and right-clicked on the parrot, blissfully unaware of my crime until it was too late, and the parrot was keeling over, long dead. I remember I literally gasped out loud and said "Noooo! What happened?", and after asking the people I was playing with in chat why the parrot died, I was told chocolate was poisonous to parrots, so feeding them cookies would kill them.

OMG I remember I had a parrot, (his name was Tobby, I thought that was how you spell Toby) and my older sister saw a thumb nail of a guy feeding his parrot a cookie, she didn't watch the video, not knowing that it would kill him. it might just mean what they CAN PHYSICALLY eat. AKA, if you right click a parrot with a steak in minecraft, nothing will happen. but if you do the same with a cookie, they'll eat it, even if it poisons them.
